Our experience was like so many other reviews ... lovely staff, room needing a refresh, and food getting monotonous. They have wonderful staff which is a huge plus. The location is good although the sea gets a bit rough at times on the north side. There are car rentals everywhere so you can get to other beaches.

Been here twice now, and it is good. The rooms are spacious, and the pools are clean. Since my first visit in 2018, the food and drink has gone downhill. The beers and cocktails available tasted very poor.

It's OK, but it's not up to the hype. Very average all-inclusive with no USP at all (water park is not a usp as you pay to enter). Even you ask for daily clean, the room was not cleaned at all. Besides, when we first step in the room, there was a dirty cleaning cloth on the floor. There is always always noise in the room. Room furnitures moved from one side to another which makes noise in our room.

Very well situated just on the harbour so location is very good with unlimited restaurants, shops and bars within a few minutes of stepping out on the street. Rooms were pretty basic, AC worked, the beds were 2 single beds pushed together. Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh bedding and towels. Toilet paper is single ply so get used to that. If you get a harbour view room you won’t be disappointed...

I was considering giving 4 or even 5 stars as overall I am happy with the resort but one important minus is the room cleaning, which is very poor and shallow. There were still hairs from the previous guests on the bath, bathroom floor and various spots, very visible. Mirrors were not wiped for a long time, remote control was very sticky and dusty. Stayed here for a few days in July 2025. Big complex, great location right on the beach, numerous swimming pools, decent rooms. Compared to other entertainment teams we thought Gaia royals team lacked energy, charisma and personality. They were friendly enough however. A lot of time has passed since the hotel's much-vaunted renovation, and it was visible here and there in the room, ours still allowed us a pleasant and relaxing stay. Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. First holiday abroad in 8 years and chose Akti Beach club due to a wedding we were attending. Very nice hotel, people working there were very nice and friendly. There were not many attractions nearby, but there was not really any need for them, because every night there was some event happening at the hotel at one bar. If you didn't want to participate you could go to the second bar near the beach which was really quite and nice to talk.

When our hotel unexpectedly closed for the season before the end of our stay, we were moved to the Apollon. We were made very welcome, the room was spotless, the staff friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and there was a great variety. Arrived at the resort to not been checked in tidy TUI had Made A mistake of only booking two the room rather than four had to ring TUI to sort the issue out and another hour before checking in which not good after. Stayed at the apollon windmill 6th September for 10 days .. we were put in The smallest shoe box size room the balcony sat above the kitchen.. the food was awful limited choice and taste less we were half board but eat out most nights. Fairly new hotel with basic spacious rooms. Usually a lot of all inclusive tourists here from western and eastern Europe. Front desk kind of friendly but also not trying too hard doing her job. Pool is nice but the stretcher toppers were all soaking wet and smelly old. Overall ok, but wouldn’t stay again. But maybe I’m also not the target group 😜

We traveled all over the world and this is the best four star hotel ever. Fantastic location with unbelievable ocean view, great clean room and wonderful service. The restaurant is so good and inexpensive too. Love this hotel!

This was a last minute booking for myself and my mother who is in her 80s. Check-in was straightforward and our room slightly dated but clean. Definitely not a 4* On arrival we had to pay €100 for the local taxes as it’s €10 a night for a 4* then we had to pay €100 for aircon as apparently the season ended 15th Sept but staff told us it ends Oct 13th and when we asked other people some weren’t t charged. The hotel is located in Kos town, in a good position near the centre, the port and the beach. It is about 15 minutes walk from the bus stop coming grom the airport. The breakfast is quite good. In my opinion the rooms, expecially the bathroom, should be a little bit renovated.
