Best cocktails are in the lobby bar, do not recommend beach bar, drinks are watered down. Hotel is child friendly with good selection of multiple food options from street food to more healthy ones - smoothies, salads. Pools are not heated if you’re going out of high season, seaside is great. Would recommend booking brunch to enjoy lovely meal with a great view.

Our experience was like so many other reviews ... lovely staff, room needing a refresh, and food getting monotonous. They have wonderful staff which is a huge plus. First holiday abroad in 8 years and chose Akti Beach club due to a wedding we were attending. I spent the week at this amazing resort. The place is built on a hillside looking out to the sea, and most if not all rooms and venues in the hotel have an sea view. Very nice hotel, people working there were very nice and friendly. There were not many attractions nearby, but there was not really any need for them, because every night there was some event happening at the hotel at one bar. If you didn't want to participate you could go to the second bar near the beach which was really quite and nice to talk.

My husband and I have just returned home, it was the first time we had stayed at this hotel it was our 4th time in Kardamena and our 6th time in Kos. The hotel is lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends and family. The food was very good. Stayed here for a few days in July 2025. Big complex, great location right on the beach, numerous swimming pools, decent rooms. Compared to other entertainment teams we thought Gaia royals team lacked energy, charisma and personality. They were friendly enough however. Unfortunately guests will leave their towels out on the sunbeds overnight, thus reserving sunbeds for the duration of their stay...

Unsure what the negative reviews are about. It was super relaxing staying at this hotel. Staff were lovely, food was really nice. All inclusive drinks is spirits, wine and beer, cocktails not included. There is 3 pools which were kept nice. Entertainment at night was good, live music, games and a dance act on greek night. A lot of time has passed since the hotel's much-vaunted renovation, and it was visible here and there in the room, ours still allowed us a pleasant and relaxing stay. The room (Family Superior 2 Bedrooms Side Sea View) was in one of the buildings very close to the beach and the terrace had a really beautiful view of the sea. Room was cleaned daily, including changing towels and also coffee and tea...

Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. Mini zoo for kids and also mini golf, several kids play, tennis, football, basketball court, 3 very good pools with bars. Garden areas beautiful and balconies on apartment blocks very spacious and sheltered from sun. Gaia itself is a bit out of the way but there's very good buses that run from hotel reception...

In what kind of hotel you get bottle water? xD Those negative comments are funny. Lovely, family hotel. Very quiet. Bungalows, village, everyday cleaning, big rooms. Air conditioning. All right...so about the Gaia Royal... To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water. In the beginning of the resort (the kids swimming pool) there is a very bad smell( I don't know how people stay there). Agree with other reviews on star rating. It’s defo not a 5. So saying, the tired rooms, they were cleaned very well. Clean bedding every other day and towels. But the staff make this hotel. To say we were disappointed is an under statement! 5 star it is not! There were a lot of weeds by the pool, toilets out of order and leaking everywhere. I do not expect a 5 star hotel to have manky shower curtains! The room was adequate but only cleaned every other day and not to a good standard. Considering you cannot flush toilet paper, the bin was changed every other day! The staff are friendly...

Great hotel. Very good food, plenty to choose from. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delicious, with local produce, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. I recommend the bar and the bartender, Theona. Every employee is kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Overall good hotel. Room numbers a bit old, but service is good and very good people who works there. Beach close to the hotel and mini market and car rental right in front of hotel is nice benefit either. But for active young couple a bit boring, this hotel more for the family with kids or elder people.

Arrived at the resort to not been checked in tidy TUI had Made A mistake of only booking two the room rather than four had to ring TUI to sort the issue out and another hour before checking in which not good after. A number of hours travelling .. the room was on a big hill not good if you have disability and another two flight of stairs . The first week unable to leave my hotel due to the hill .....

Perfect for families with children. The staff is outstanding and very responsive to answer any questions you might have. They are quick in responding to your emails. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach. Every complex has their own little pool in addition to the super size pool in the middle of the complex.

Third visit back to the Gaia Palace. Lovely stay yet again. Staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly throughout our visit. We stayed in a superior double room which was excellent. Lovely clean hotel. We went all-inclusive so had a good selection of food and drinks. Plenty of sunbeds and pools so it never looked busy. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday I would recommend staying here.
