The hotel is set on a peninsula which we were told was often quite windy and the man made beach despite having a blue flag is quite uninviting. This is advertised as 5* but I would argue with that rating. Rooms are very dated especially the bathrooms and you have to pay for safe in room and for sunbeds on the tatty bit of beach. We had a good week eventhough it was the end of the season. We liked the sports, pools, the food and the service. We had two twin beds which was very sad and the room in general was small. Would recommend though.

Been here twice now, and it is good. The rooms are spacious, and the pools are clean. Since my first visit in 2018, the food and drink has gone downhill. The beers and cocktails available tasted very poor.

It's OK, but it's not up to the hype. Very average all-inclusive with no USP at all (water park is not a usp as you pay to enter). All right...so about the Gaia Royal... To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water. We visited Ikos Aria in September with my wife. The resort is at a superb location on the beach approximately 15 minutes from the airport. Easy to find as we rented a car from there. The room, the service at the restaurants and the overall attention from all staff during our stay made as to keep Aria top on our list for a revisit!

First holiday abroad in 8 years and chose Akti Beach club due to a wedding we were attending. Overall the hotel is OK but the rooms really let it down and also the attitude of some of the staff wasn't great. This year was my third consecutive stay, and as usual, I wasn't disappointed. The room had pool access, the room was cleaned daily, and the minibar was restocked. The food was excellent, as were the drinks, and the entertainment in the adults' area was fantastic. A place to relax.

My husband and I have just returned home, it was the first time we had stayed at this hotel it was our 4th time in Kardamena and our 6th time in Kos. Second time here for us, first time we gave 5 stars. But on the second visit, we were given an auful apartment, this one was so dark and out dated. Even you ask for daily clean, the room was not cleaned at all. Besides, when we first step in the room, there was a dirty cleaning cloth on the floor. There is always always noise in the room. Room furnitures moved from one side to another which makes noise in our room.

Very well situated just on the harbour so location is very good with unlimited restaurants, shops and bars within a few minutes of stepping out on the street. Rooms were pretty basic, AC worked, the beds were 2 single beds pushed together. Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh bedding and towels. Toilet paper is single ply so get used to that. If you get a harbour view room you won’t be disappointed...

Wonderful staff who are so quick and efficient thanks to their mix of students studying Travel or Hotel Tourism type studies. Really was one of our best 5 star holidays and no regrets.

The staff were very lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. The only negative was the Spar changing room and showers as drains blocked and shower water comes into changing area floor.
