Best cocktails are in the lobby bar, do not recommend beach bar, drinks are watered down. Hotel is child friendly with good selection of multiple food options from street food to more healthy ones - smoothies, salads. Pools are not heated if you’re going out of high season, seaside is great. Would recommend booking brunch to enjoy lovely meal with a great view.

I spent the week at this amazing resort. The place is built on a hillside looking out to the sea, and most if not all rooms and venues in the hotel have an sea view. We had the most amazing time. The hotel complex, pools, beach, Restaurants, food, drinks were perfect. We had an all inclusive break and stayed for 7 nights and felt looked after so well. Staff really nice and helpful. Everything spotless. We will definitely be back.

Most beatifull hotel ive ever seen. The food buffets and dinner restaurants was amazing especially "Ithaka" best food ive ever tasted. Buffets were really well organised and there was not any chaos even there was lots of peolpe at the same time. Hotels own app was amazing it was so easy to order drinks from beach or from pool. Really feeling missold regarding this hotel. We booked via Jet2 who rated it 4 star plus and the hotel proudly displays 5 stars on its entrance and publications. My husband and I have just returned home, it was the first time we had stayed at this hotel it was our 4th time in Kardamena and our 6th time in Kos. Stayed here for a few days in July 2025. Big complex, great location right on the beach, numerous swimming pools, decent rooms. Compared to other entertainment teams we thought Gaia royals team lacked energy, charisma and personality. They were friendly enough however. Unsure what the negative reviews are about. It was super relaxing staying at this hotel. Staff were lovely, food was really nice. A lot of time has passed since the hotel's much-vaunted renovation, and it was visible here and there in the room, ours still allowed us a pleasant and relaxing stay. Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. Mini zoo for kids and also mini golf, several kids play, tennis, football, basketball court, 3 very good pools with bars. All right...so about the Gaia Royal... To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water. In the beginning of the resort (the kids swimming pool) there is a very bad smell( I don't know how people stay there).
