My kids enjoyed the amenities including the large beautiful pool. We wish the pool was open early and not at 11 am. The food at the hotel restaurant was just ok so we ended up dinning out a good number of nights

Great hotel for a family with an outstanding beach. Our family will absolutely come back. This hotel is focused on families and couples; not for stag parties. We extended our stay at this hotel

The rooms are large, cleaned daily exceptionally well by Cleopatra and kettle/ iron available on request. The pool is amazing and the free beach opposite offers clear water and a lovely view

I would consider this a 5 star resort. The bungalow we stayed in was modern, clean and spacious. Some bungalows had private pools. Incredible value! The pool was gigantic and well maintained

Grecotel Filoxenia

It was a stone throw from the main town of Kalamata which was a nice pleasant 30minute stroll along the sea front or a short 1euro bus trip

Spent a week here in October with my family. The hotel was absolutely beautiful- the renovation was great. Our room was spacious and lovely. The swimming pools were also great. We were able to swim every day

The beach is very pebbly as other people have described. But if you wear sandals in or water shoes it’s fine. The location is beautiful as well and perfect for exploring the area The food was delicious and varied

This is a lovely hotel on the edge of Kalamata. Refurbishment has been done very well and staff went out of their way to help. Pool and gardens are lovely as photos suggest

The location is wonderful, both right at the beach, far from other hotels but very close the Kalamata city (~8 minute drive). We highly recommend and definitely will come again in the next season

The hotel staff were lovely, quick, and always helpful. Not having an all inclusive option makes it more challenging with family. But the half board option worked

Pharae Palace Hotel

Good size, clean and comfortable rooms. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Carpet in hallways are looking tired and dirty. Hallway paint can use some refreshing. Good variety of options for the breakfast offering.

The staff was exceptional in trying to accommodate guests. From the the reservations, check-in, restaurant and bar staff to the room maids, it was obvious that everyone went the "extra mile"

Fine location with private beach and free sun beds. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast, with a good range of food, including local specialities. The rooftop bar is also open for drinks in the evening

Some OK restaurants and bars along the promenade, but the best are in the old town 20 minutes walk away. tip: take a sunrise walk out on the molo, and you may spot some sea turtles

Room designs were convenient and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant ( both indoor and outside offers a wonderful view and a generous breakfast

The view from the 5th floor restaurant is stunning. Breakfast was great with lots of options and the staff super friendly. The room was updated and we were on the 4th floor so our view to the water was amazing

Set in a beautiful garden with lots of sunbeds and other features. Great pool, and a blue flag is just across the street. Everything is well maintained, service is attentive and very friendly, food is great

: We were more than pleasantly surprised when we first pulled into the Elysian. As a contractor designer I truly appreciated the unique large and small elements and comfort the Elysian had to offer

Even the dining area has a natural randomness and uniqueness in their seating. Did I mention the series of swimming pools, comfortable lounge chairs and cabanas

There is a private beach and placid sea outside pool gate (1 minute walk. ) My husband and myself plan to return. Elysian was Accessible to other restaurants museums marina Priced moderately

Breakfast was plentiful & varied. The eating out in Kalamata exceeded our expectations, as did the hospitality. The sea swimming by the hotel was great

Lovely resort hotel, excellent restaurant Spent one night here on the way between Nafplio and Olympia, it was early March and still the off season so not many guests but staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast buffet was fabulous and the dinner we ate in the restaurant was delicious

Great Resort Hotel room was very clean with a balcony and a view on the sea. The pool and bar were very pleasant and the food was tasty and plenty. Staff was very pleasant and helpful A great catch near Kalamata !!!

The warmth and efficient polite hotel staff made our stay enjoyable, lots of choices at breakfast, sun loungers were always available at the poolside side everything was an ease especially ordering from the poolside bar with staff were polite and efficient

We are a family of 5 adults from the UK who stayed for 9 nights B&B at this hotel. We had a great time and would definitely return. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was never an issue getting sunbeds

Lovely and varied breakfast each morning, including lots of local produce. This is a resort for those who wish to have a comfortable base to explore the city and the extended area

We took a lot the taxi to go to Kalamata and they always phone for us in Greek, very helpful ! The room was very big and clean, bed confortable, sheets changed every day, amazing view on the sea and Kalamata city

We have really great time at the hotel. Nice, clean room, beautiful swimming pool area, nice beach, very clear sea. Very friendly and helpful stuff, great breakfast buffet, fresh fruits, very good dinner

Break fast was super, a lot of different food and preparations, always very fresh. The pool is big and at a nice temperature, calm atmosphere, ideal to have a break in our stressful lives

I stayed in Messinian Bay Hotel for 7 nights with my partner. The Staff were very nice and helpful, they know a lot about the local activities and good prices

Really great!!! I often live in Kalamata, and from now on they have become my favorite place to live!

I don't write great because it was in prep mode due to covid but it's worth it anyway!!

The service from the staff, excellent!! Courtesy and directness!! From the gentlemen at the reception, the staff at breakfast and the cleaning staff. Comfortable parking, the area quiet and clean

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. Breakfast was expansive and delicious. Very friendly staff and superb location.

We stayed here in July for 2 nights and one in August. We would have stayed longer in August but they were full Great location a short walk to sea. Nice pool which wasn’t too crowded and plenty of comfy sunbeds

They were ready with the check in paperwork and the process was seamless. We were in our room just moments after we arrived

Everyone we encountered, from the delightful housekeeper who prepared our room so beautifully, to the reception staff, waiting staff and Zoe (manager), went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect

The location was fantastic, a very short walk to the beach and we asked for beach towels and they were provided to us. Kalamata Town Centre is a 15 min walk. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful

Friendly and welcoming staff, very good location on the beach front which was perfect for a morning dip, breakfast ok, good value for the area, parking not too hard to find considering the location, our family room had a side sea view and view across to the mountains, most have a sea view, air-con quite noisy

Great location with friendly and hospitable staff. Location is right across from the beach. Having the hotel breakfast across the road from the hotel was a memorable and great way to start the day

It was als easu to drive to from the airport and there is sufficient parking in the local area. The bed was very comfotable and the room was very clean. We would toroughly recomment Hotel Ostria

The hotel is located right across the road from the beach with many bars and tavernas in short walking distance. We also walked into Kalamata centre which took about 20 minutes

Convenient location to the dining options which are plentiful. Rooms are large and well set out. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again

Belvedere Hotel

We had sodas by the magnificent pool (they serve cocktails if you like). There are 2 lovely banquette rooms near the pool. It would be fantastic to have a wedding reception at this place. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing view, perched high above city. Clean rooms. Plentiful breakfast. Center of Kalamata not too far. Owners and Staff friendly.

One of the nicest views you will ever see overlooking the sea/ocean. Anywhere you look out from the hotel you are looking at the water. Very clean hotel, great breakfast/full breakfast

And Giannis at the Apollon Bar by the Olympic pool added a personal touch by remembering our favorite drinks every time. Made us feel like more than just tourists. Would 100% recommend this place for families

The rooms are well appointed without being pretentious. It is nestles in the hills above a small quaint beach town. Yet has the quiet sophistication of being our a small city

Just got back from an incredible week at the Belvedere resort. The hotel was beautiful — clean rooms, plenty of pools, and loads of activities for all ages

very friendly,very helpful,great kitchen equiped with eveything you need including lovely filtered coffee and machine,toast,spreads,butter and the sea views were to die for

Wonderful apartment with very big and comfortable beds, beautiful view, close to the sea. The obky down side is the size of the shower. It's very small.

Cozy appartements in a beautiful location, with view on the sea. The hotel is not close to kalamata so I wouldnt recommend getting a room if you don't have a Car.

Even though the way from the hotel to the sea is short it is very steep, with 45°approximately and walking up the hill is really hard during the hot day

Fully equipped kitchen with toaster, pans, oven, pots etc Good view from the balcony and very clean sea with free sunbeds (if you order a drink)

we liked it so much that we stayed for two nights instead of one, and will very probably choose to stay here if ever we come back to this area

Neilson Messini Activity Beach Club Hotel

We like most of everything about this hotel except for the shower water. The pressure of the water in the shower was very weak and the temperature of the water was not consistent

It went cold then hot constantly during our shower times

The main issue is the poor link between the calendar and the activity that meant one struggled to book days ahead. At no point was it clear that there were further charges. This was an all inclusive holiday right

However, when we arrived we were told that we had to be out the room by 3. What's the use in that! Further more, I asked at reception if we could stay in the room until 5. We came back to the room at 4

The week I was there was extremely busy and I was unable to get on the "red" level sailing courses more than once and the tennis sessions were stupidly busy at times

Wrong, there is a local tax payable- Eu105 over the week. Lack of transparency is frustrating. We paid for extended check out (Eu50) as our bus left at 7

It also has a sea view! The bathroom is more facilitated than expected. I've got a bath tub, lavatory and a toiltet separated

We stayed for 3 days in January, and we’re coming back in March for a week. We love this place! The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we especially enjoy the large balconies

The food is well and it seems that staff cares more than enough about its guests. The hospitality is beyond amazing. As a young entrepreneur, I have found a room on the upper room a perfect place to work and relax

Great little hotel with free parking right across the street. We arrived as walk-ins and got the same price as online including breakfast. Christine, at the desk, was friendly, helpful and spoke great English

This was much better than that other hotel next to this one that has a bucket instead of the bathroom. On the serious note, I'm more than sure you will enjoy your stay at Vista Marina!

We are sitting down to espresso and awaiting breakfast in the lovely attached cafe. The barista here is also very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Breakfast very good. All clean. Sea view excellent

We were grateful we had booked this place along the beach. It felt much safer and nicer. We took a short beach walk in the morning before enjoying their very nice breafkast before heading out

We did a quick trip into the old part of Kalamata, but the castle was closed (3:30) and we weren't impressed with the commertial area. We came directly back to enjoy the beach

Nice hotel along the beach We enjoyed Hotel Flisvos. The room was very nice and clean. They had a drying rack on the deck, which allowed us to wash a few items of clothing

We enjoyed a walk along the beach and eating at one of the restaurants along the beach

Great location and convenient… small shower !

A good hotel to spend a few nights next to the beach of Kalamata. It is in front of the sea and rather cheap. Only drawback is the old styled bedrooms that could bother some, but it is really clean nonetheless

A friendly home away from home along a great part of the beach! Very clean and well thought out room with a great balcony and view, I feel so lucky to have stayed here for 6 days :)

The hotel is on the beach with beautiful view and nice host. Great value for money

Lovely owners, rooms dated but very clean. Separate restaurante down stairs very good prices. Take Anosis a bottle of malt whisky. Will return as part of a tour of Pelaponese

The room comes with a huge balcony. The KING sized bed is great - these seem to be a rarity in Europe! Dinner was fantastic. Get the fruit place or poke bowl, both fresh and delicious. The price was very reasonable

Located on the mountain side with beautiful views! Great amenities and good location. The staff were friendly, and the property was clean and modern.

Messinian Icon Hotel was one of our favorites of our stay in Greece. The view is mesmerizing, with the glimmering sea and mountains in the background. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and helpful

Amazing boutique hotel, the very best in Kalamata. Great staff, superb location. Incredible sunset views, absolutely love the place!

Horizon Blu Boutique Hotel

room was very clean and they could upgrade the mattresses. The breakfast wasn’t as good as I remember it. I stayed a few years back and the quality has gone down, but otherwise I enjoyed it.

We loved our stay at Horizon Blu! The view from our room was to die for and the breakfast buffet was wonderful every morning. The beach was a very short walk and had comfortable loungers with cute umbrellas

I stayed at the same hotel a few years ago and it was fantastic but the property itself is wonderful design easy access to the beach and the pool is fantastic

Kalamata’s best Everything you’d want from a 5 star hotel for a relaxing holiday.

The mattress could be a little bit better. breakfast is OK too good not amazing

All of the wait staff was very attentive, polite and helpful. Thanks for making our stay in Kalamata a very memorable one!

Beautiful apartments located in the heart of kalamata with a beautiful view of the sea. Everything is a walking distance away. Only downfall is the parking in the evening. Everything else was great.

Nice ocean view from the patio. Very nice restaurants near the sea. They provided coffee and daily cleaning

Relax with a great view in Kalamata The apartment was clean and in a great location. It's a across the street from the beach and a short walk to great restaurants and coffee shops

I recommend this to anyone visiting Kalamata!
