Garden City Resort in Kalamata

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. Breakfast was expansive and delicious. Very friendly staff and superb location.

This was a very short stay and we wished we could stay longer.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff could not be more helpful. They were ready with the check in paperwork and the process was seamless. We were in our room just moments after we arrived.
The boutique hotel was very clean, modern and most importantly, quiet which allowed for a peaceful night's rest. Nothing was an issue for the staff and they were all so polite and engaging.
The location was fantastic, a very short walk to the beach and we asked for beach towels and they were provided to us.
Kalamata Town Centre is a 15 min walk.
Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

I don't think that it is 5 star hotel.No more that 4 stars . The front fesk staf was very nice.The breakfast was nice and with variety. What was very disappointing was lack of coppucino cafe that is very strange for a hotel that call himself 5 stars.

We stayed here in July for 2 nights and one in August. We would have stayed longer in August but they were full Great location a short walk to sea. Nice pool which wasn’t too crowded and plenty of comfy sunbeds. Breakfast was varied and everything fresh. The staff are just amazing friendly and helpful. We also had lunch (late as restaurant opens at 3pm) twice which was good value. Great club sandwiches. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room. We had a balcony on both occasions. It was also very good value and better to book directly.

Great location, friendly staff, wonderful amenities and amazing hospitality. We had a wonderful stay at Garden City for our honeymoon. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was spacious and well appointed with comfortable furnishings and with a view of the pool area. Staff were attentive and friendly, providing us with great recommendations for food and beaches nearby. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety and choice, catering to all dietary requirements. Location was central with a short walk to the beach, restaurant and shops. I cannot fault this hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Kalamata. We also received a small gift from the owner which was a lovely gesture. We will be back!!! Thank you

Wonderful and lovingly small hotel with a good location to Kalamata and plenty of parking spaces in a separate private parking lot about 20m away from the hotel. All wishes were taken into account and since there were few guests at our time 06/2025, we always got loungers by the pool and also direct places for breakfast by the water. The receptionists speak good English and even German. The value for money is excellent and we felt very comfortable! :)

Good hotel with dedicated parking space close to city centre. We received free upgrade to junior suite (in January). Decent breakfast, very professional and welcoming staff helping you with everything. Rooms are in good condition, bathrobes, slippers etc are provided. Comfortable bed and pillows. The only downside was traffic noise from the busy street, but so far every hotel in Greece had bad soundproofing

Our friends introduced us to this beautiful little hotel, and we are delighted they did. Such an amazing find. From check in to departure the level Of service is first class. Everyone we encountered, from the delightful housekeeper who prepared our room so beautifully, to the reception staff, waiting staff and Zoe (manager), went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We have travelled extensively and can say truthfully that the service at The Garden City Resort exceeds any we have experienced else where. Professional, but with genuine warmth and a smile. The hotel is small, 28 beds, located 5 minutes from the sea front and 15 minutes from the city centre, in a peaceful, residential area. It is immaculate, and everything has being thoughtfully provided. Breakfast is truly delicious. Hot and cold buffet, with pastries and local Specialities. Twinings tea! The selection is vast. A huge added bonus is the car park. If you are planning a stop over in Kalamata, or a holiday. I would recommend The Garden City Resort without hesitation. Biggest tip: book direct, it is considerably cheaper.
