Before visiting the Ilyssion, I have read mixed reviews. Today is our last day out of seven so here is mine.

We have loved our stay at the Ilyssion.

The staff and owners have worked endlessly to ensure everyone is comfortable and well cared for.

The owners and staff are multilingual and have helped us learn some basic Greek along with some of the culture.

As vegetarians, we have had a great variety of meals with authentic feta salads and pasta dishes. My children have enjoyed the meat dishes too, with easy dishes available for the younger pallet.

Our room is spacious and comfortable, fitted with a fridge, A/C and tv with plenty of electrical outlets. We have had clean sheets and towels every day.

The bathroom has toilet, shower whirlpool bath and sink.

There is a bar by the pool, open from mid day and one in the main area open from 5 with drinks for children and adults.

The beach is on the doorstep however, if you want to explore, there is a bus stop outside the door.

I would gladly return to the Ilyssion and would advise anyone to do the same.

Also, book direct and support the local economy instead of lining the pockets of travel agents and Internet companies,

Great sea, good rooms.
Great stuff except not very friendly hostess. And too few fruits in the restaurant

We are currently here and I have to say what a dissapointment. We have had medication, money and brand new trainers taken from our room. We have reported it to reception who were not a bit empathetic, understanding or willing to help. All the lady responded with was you can call the police. She was not interested in helping in any way or even looking into it she just dismissed it straight away. Appalling service. Before this they'd always been friendly. The hotel itself is a lovely location with stunning views. Food is not good, lunch is okay but breakfast and dinner is awful, the dining room is not adequate for the hotel really there isn't enough seats, it's boiling, guests are stood up eating. The drinks aren't great but there is a shop where you can buy your own which is what we have been doing. There's plenty of places to eat out which is what we have done every day but it is a walk to the restaurants or there are taxis if you ask reception. The rooms aren't great but they are clean We have come out of our room this morning to find chicken bones everywhere and 3 hours later they are still there with several staff members just walking past them 🤢 It hadn't ruined our holiday up to this point we just treated it as a self catering holiday and were still having a lovely time but now having our items and money taken has put a dampener on our holiday. I cannot take my medication for the remainder of our holiday which will make Me poorly. I simply cannot belive the lady on receptions lack of customer service skills or just general empathy towards guests if she had even tried to help it wouldn't have been so bad but she had no interest. So we definitely will not be returning and advise not to or keep anything of value with you.

Still here in the Ilyssion hotel. Booked through Love Holidays . The Ilyssion has and will never be a 4 star. 2 star at best and that is being fair to the staff who do say hi . Please don’t make the mistake we and many others have made . The staff are so rude . The breakfast is poor . Lunch is marginally better . But not great . The snacks for children very poor . One sometime two staff on the pool bar . The only one open during the day . Massive queuing and irritated holiday makers . Tokens for 1 during per person fair enough . No alcohol till 12 . They state slush drinks for children between 15:00 - 16:00 . But when it runs out shortly after 15:30 the don’t bother re filling . Just turn it off. Not in the interest of the kids . Dinner poor . I’m not one for ever reading or wrighting reviews. But please be aware it’s not what it’s being sold as . Also they demand the holiday room tax at 10 euro a day in cash no cards .

Please read below for the HELL of an experience we had at Ilyssion: Upon arriving at 23:45 after a over 12 hour travel day, we were greeted with no complimentary drink or food as well as no access to the usual all inclusive amenities and was only offered to buy our own snacks at the mini market. Also upon arrival you will not be greeted and helped by any member of staff to help carry your cases or locate your room. On top of this AC (which was advertised as free of charge) requires a 30 euro deposit per room. The rooms could not be any worse, our rooms were infested with ants crawling on the beds and floor (see attached pictures). Upon telling reception about our ant problem on night 1 we were given a sponge and soap to clean the room ourselves and told to change our own bedding (see attached). Also, the magnetic key to turn on your electric for your room is welded to your room key which means you will have to lock the door in the dark and come back to a hot hotel room. The rooms themselves are NOT even 2 star quality. You will arrive to a outdated disgusting bathroom, beds that are sure to break your back and balcony doors that will not lock. With our party having to spend the first night with a broken door accessible from the outside in a room situated on the ground floor. Bed sheets are towels also had yellow, brown and red stains on them. Another issue with the rooms was broken railing inside the room and on the balcony as well as plug sockets hanging out from the wall exposing live wires which like us if you have children is a huge risk and like all other issues, upon being reported to reception was not resolved for multiple days. Food and Drink This hotel should be ashamed to call itself all inclusive with breakfast having one double toaster for a 110 room hotel and only two hot drink machines that did not work, which led us to buy our own hot chocolate powder. The eating area itself was extremely miserable and dark with limited seating including one time when our party of 8 attempted to put tables together and was denied by staff who claimed that it was blocking a door however that door was locked throughout our whole stay. In terms of lunch- the selection is extremely poor with cold food (that should be warm) such as unidentifiable meat (see attached pictures) even the staff who ate after the guests where often visibly confused about what they were putting on the plate. On top of this the food at the supposed BBQ-style lunch was often re-used dinner from the previous night. Dinner itself often was poorly themed and yet again had horrific selection of food. On one of the first nights was a Indian-food theme and dishes such as Korma and Tikka Masala often included chunks of meat that were warm on the outside and fridge-cold in the middle- leading to every member of our party having food poisoning during our stay with two members throwing up multiple nights in a row. In terms of snacks- yet again food was reused from breakfast with plain br

One of the best holidays we've ever had. Stayed with my partner who has mobility issues and my 10 year old son. This is a small family run hotel with beautiful swimming pools, warm sea just perfect for snorkeling and with a traditional Greek family feel. Our room was modern, spacious and comfortable with highly effective air conditioning which was a life saver in the July heat. Our ground floor patio looked out over the pool to the sea beyond. Breakfast and dinner were served in the ground floor restaurant which served a great selection of hot and cold dishes. I was really worried before we got there as some of the reviews were negative, but the food was excellent! There was always fresh fruit and salads available and the menu changed on a daily basis. Lunch was over at the pool bar with a choice of BBQ meats, salads, and additional dishes every day and always hot, crunchy chips at every meal. Dolmades, savoury pastry and pizza were particular favourites. The beer was cold, the slushy excellent and we loved the selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets whenever we asked for them. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful we left feeling part of their family. So, if you like your food from McDonald's and like to stay in a faceless international hotel then you might not appreciate what this hotel offers, which is a proper Greek beach holiday with the added luxury of all inclusive. Honesty, it was simply the best. Can't wait to go back and order another Greek Lover. Hope to see you all soon.🥰

Although I have been staying at the Ilyssion Hotel for many years, I realised that I rarely review it. In fact, I think this must only be my third review and I have been returning here for over 25 years. What I love about the place, apart from the location and the weather, which are both fabulous, is the way there is always something a bit different for me to find on my return, for example new rooms or an extension of the outdoor spaces. This year the pool bar was refitted to enable lunch to be served buffet style mainly for the all inclusive guests, but also for those of us who do not choose that option to have lunch in a truly stunning setting. I will say again that I have always found the Hotel staff to be very friendly, helpful and willing to deal quickly with any issues that need resolving, not that there are any on my part. Yet again this year the rooms were cleaned daily and bed linen and towels replaced as per the website. The food range on offer for breakfast and lunch is plentiful and more than adequate for the different tastes of the all the guests who come from various places across Europe and the UK. I do not stay all inclusive as I love getting out into Pefkos, Lardos or Lindos to eat in traditional greek restaurants. That too is all part of what makes my holiday so good. Many thanks once again to Chris and the team for a making my stay a fantastic, restorative holiday, Loved every minute

Well, we have never had such a hotel. The hotel can have a maximum of 2 stars due to the natural beauty and unspoiled premises. Laughter is included. Do you have tokens to get 1 plastic glass for a drink, where you choose water or alcohol. Are you outside at the food queue and table every time because there is only 1 restaurant open and with too few staff to serve even though there is room. No dessert. Do you buy water and shower gel in the hotel when you have everything included? Would it be enough for you to sleep during the day if there were only cookies? How long will you always eat the same thing for breakfast. Although let's face it, it's a pretty tasty meal and the staff is helpful.

Everything was amazing.. Though it's not a perfect place for kids and no-swimmers, it is perfect the way it is. Clean and amazing water, trees on the beach, so much quiet made the perfect place for us. Careful people, super cleaning service and great maintenance staff. The food not always "super" for our taste, but fine enough (maybe Ilyssion will improve that a little). For us holidays are not about food, so I happily gave five stars!

It was horrible, terrible! Stay away from this hotel!! It was the worst experience that I've had with a hotel. This is NOT a 4-star hotel! It's like a 1-star! The rooms are NOT like the pictures and the food is 80% from cans. I just wanted to leave there as soon as possible.
