Excellent hotel, I would recommend it to everyone! We spent four days here with my sweetheart. The choice and quantity of breakfast and dinner are abundant and satisfy all tastes, they also readily fulfill special requests. The staff is kind, the suites are spacious, beautiful and very well equipped. The wellness area is magnificent. We also took advantage of the bicycle rental option at the reception, a beautiful bicycle path starts in front of the hotel along the Eger stream to the Bükk. We will definitely return.

We had a lovely week! The apartment were clean, functional and spacy. The wellness was cozy with a nice view and plenty options to relax. The breakfast and dinner were good homemade meals. I recommend that hotel if you are looking for a human-sized place to relax.

Although it should be a 4 star hotel, It is
much more 3 star. Food was basic and untasty, breakfas was scheduled for 7:30, but they managed to serve it only at 8:00 and could not manage to give a coffee. Wellness was said to open at 9:00, but sauna and pools start to operate at 10:00. Location is poor, you can watch from the pooland electric station and a housing block. Young students work in the hotel who has no experience to provide service. This is more like a gym with some additional services.

Worst experience!
Staff is rude (from kitchen staff who told my friend "isn't buffer food good enough for you" when he asked for the burger) to the receptionist who wanted to charge everyone for late checkout when we gave our keys on time except one couple who kept their room.

No slippers for a spa hotel. No kitchen utensils (plates, pans, etc). No coffee available after 10:30. No reception area to sit if you have couple of hours to kill.

Horrible experience - do not stay here.

The hotel is outside of Eger central area, in a zone where there is an electrical plant, communist apartment blocks but also nice hills view. The room, an apartment, was very big and nice, even utilities included. Good bed, good sleep and no noise. The spa area is good, Finnish spa, infrared sauna, steam sauna, salt room and several pools with jacuzzi. Very good spa experience in the evening, bad on second day as at 9 things were not started up, wet sauna had some black stuff on the ground, Finnish sauna was cold and not aired out, water on the floor all over. The reception staff was very kind. The offer had dinner also included, easier to take after spa and far from city by walking. The options for buffet were good, few soups, few salads, cheese board, few sauces, few meats, side dishes and deserts. Big negative, no drink included, not even a basic plain tap water with lemon or whatever. You have to pay extra and the bar prices are quite high, maybe 25-40% higher than average ones, menu only in Hungarian. In addition to large prices, they also charge and extra 10% om restaurant service. The accommodation is anyway expensive.
I reduce 2 extra stars because of lack of transparency for payment required for children. Children policy stated children are up to 18 years old, there was no extra charge mentioned in dedicated policy. Then I also wrote upfront on booking to discuss avout child. No reply, at checkout they ask for 60 euros for the child when the entire package was 133 euros - in the end we agreed for less which was fair, but very bad management of children policy and communication on booking.

The hotel is not in some lucky place because there is a residential park on one side and the routine track of a driving school on the other side, and the beeping of the truck while reversing is very disturbing on Saturday morning at 7am!
But that should be the biggest concern ☺️
When we booked the accommodation they wrote a plate service in the confirmation email, by which time it had become a buffet dinner!
Welcome drink is also missed, although it is included in the package in theory, but if it weren’t, it would still be appropriate to ask after a long journey if they would like a refreshment maybe!
The staff is kind and helpful, but everyone is missing (missing) the nameplate!

Breakfast is plentiful, you could possibly buns at the buffet (the little bucks are very tiny) !!!
But everything was fresh and served nicely !!!
The restaurant part and the wellness area are clean and tidy, the young man in the wellness area is very kind and helpful who lets out the towels !!!!!
The room we received was comfortable, well distributed, pleasantly scented (this also characterized the corridors) 🔝💫a terrace, nice, but on arrival it was not so clean, you could pay much more attention to the cleanliness of the floor (the previous guest's hair on the floor and in the shower) , all sanitary stained, decor curtains hanging)

A kitchen worker in short shorts, slippers, dirty sweatshirts, perforated socks spends his morning buffet in a disappointing 4 * hotel.
The front desk also has an employee, torn black jeans, and a blue nike slipper that doesn't fit there at all 🤭
On arrival we were a lovely young man, on the second day this torn young man in jeans, on the day of our journey a lovely lady!
These are “little things,” but they matter a lot.
If you already have a Mini bar, a bottle opener wouldn’t hurt the room either!
There is a wine opener, but no glass opener…

Regardless of these, my 5 * rating is because it fills a person with warmth once he enters the hotel, we work in hospitality in a 5 * hotel and we are aware of how much work there is in all this!

We will come another time!

We are very disappointed in this Hotel ... It promises much more than it offers. The high rating (4.8 *) is misleading. Such highly rated **** Hotels (e.g. Aura, Castellum, MenDan) offer far more, primarily in terms of food selection. Half-board for breakfast and dinner is poor, although the food is delicious. This shortcoming is particularly painful in light of the hotel’s emphasis on health. For breakfast, the standard can of jam, the candied Hey-ho juice, the 5 pieces of fruit offered in a small bowl, the dinner with the roasted nokedli, garnished with rice-bizi and mashed potatoes are far from the concept of healthy food ... At dinner, 2 small appetizers , 3 main courses + garnish, 2 small cookies to choose from. The salad bar does not exist, instead it was the same 3 salads for 2 days with 3 changing dressings. My partner should not consume gluten, milk, or eggs. We also indicated this in advance by phone / e-mail / at the reception upon arrival! In comparison, apart from a delicious juice, my couple couldn’t eat either a main course or a dessert at our first dinner. At his special request, the chef prepared him a flawless fish dish, of course he had to wait for that. At breakfast, we also had to wait until the frozen gluten-free rolls were baked. It is more than unpleasant at this price / * also (2 nights / 2 people 112 000.- HUF / ****). The area around the Hotel, as previously written, has pretty much run down. Its only positive is that a nice bike ride starts from nearby to Felsőtárkány, where it is an experience to run / walk / bike. The Hotel has been tastefully designed, the colors are harmonious, the Wellness is cozy, the saunas are super, it is a good idea to have water with fruit in the jugs. Pleasant music is played everywhere. Instead of the term suite, the apartment is more appropriate. The apartment is spacious, the bed is large and comfortable. There are quality elements in the equipment, but in the same way you may encounter design flaws (conversely, connected hot and cold taps, light switches behind the bath door, unusable design reading lamps, etc.).
All in all, for this money, there are Hotels in a much nicer setting that offer a higher standard than the classics.
We are sorry that the otherwise good additions of the Hotel are degraded with such errors, much more could be extracted from it ... 😪
