My experience at Pa’l’s Mini Hostel was very poor. There is no reception on site; all instructions were sent by email. Upon arrival, I noticed a homeless person sleeping on the couch, which made the atmosphere feel unsafe and uncomfortable, even though he did not cause any direct trouble.
After placing my luggage in the assigned area, I went out for a few hours. When I returned, I found another woman sleeping in my bed, claiming it was hers. According to the booking details, she was assigned bed number 2, while I was assigned bed number 3. From my understanding, she entered the hostel without a valid reservation for that day, likely because she was familiar with the place from previous stays.
It seems there is a lack of order and security, as anyone can enter the premises freely, which creates a strong feeling of insecurity for guests. I strongly recommend that the owner have a receptionist on site at least during the day to provide a sense of safety.
Additionally, the curtains shown in the photos do not exist in reality, so there is no sense of privacy. Overall, the hostel is uncomfortable and does not match the expectations set by the listing.

The location of Pal Mini Hostel is great and very convenient. However, the room was not soundproof at all, so it was quite noisy. The showerhead in our bathroom was also broken, which was disappointing. The price felt a bit expensive for what we got, but it might be because we stayed during New Year’s.

I loved it there. The hostel was very quiet and peaceful. I came alone and rented a private room with shared bath. The hostel does not have staff there usually, but is very accommodating over text. I got in super later due to missing my bus, and then the next bus was stuck at the border for 5 hours. They sent me a whatsapp text with videos on how to get in and very good instructions. Another staff person comes every day and cleans all of the common areas. When i got there, the room smelled strongly like laundry. The bedding was super clean. I always check with a bright light for bugs in any room i stay in (too many bad experiences) and this one passed the test. Honestly it was spotless. Super comfortable room. 2 womens showers available. Not sure how many people were staying, but there was never a wait for the shower or toilet for me. Very pleasant experience.

I stayed with two friends, and when we first arrived, there was no one at the reception. We received instructions over the phone from the owner for the check-in process. Overall, the accommodation was good; the room and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Since we went during the off-season, only two rooms were occupied, so we didn’t experience any noise issues. We were satisfied with our stay, thank you. I recommend it.

Very nice hostel. Everything is clean, very few carpets, which means few parasites. All the laundry smells like fresh wash. A complete wet cleaning was done before us. High ceilings. Homely environment, decent shower, clean toilet, kitchen, everything you need. Great location with a beautiful view. I would be happy to come back here again.

Absolutely excellent little hostel situated in the heart of Budapest city centre. Easy walking distance to the Ruin Bars which are an absolute must when you visit the city and near to the Danube for cultural visit, especially the “Shoes”, very moving. Very reasonably priced and the reception man called Matias could not do enough for us. Showers were hot, towels and sheets provided and clean. A basic hostel but very friendly and would recommend to anyone planning to visit the City. Good security as well, three doors to negotiate before you get into the reception. We were quite happy to leave valuables in our rooms as we had the keys and we locked up before we left.

Booked room with shower/toilet. Shower cold 2/3 nights. No top sheet. Tiny pillow. Good internet and lift to first floor. No reception except for fist night. He was nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place

Awful client service. Do not care for clients. Dirty place, unpleasant manager. Do not believe fake opinions and never go to this place.
