The room and hotel were clean. But the service could have been better. The coffee at the breakfast buffet was really bad, which ruins the rest of the breakfast. Communication was a bit difficult as the staff’s English was limited, but despite the language barrier, they did their best to explain everything and were very kind. Both breakfast and dinner were not excellent, but they were satisfactory. The room was spacious and clean, which we appreciated.

The room is quite large and equipped with a kitchen, but the facilities are relatively old. The hotel is suitable for local people to come on vacation. There is a swimming pool, a large dining area, and a wide variety of breakfasts.

Really weak value for money, definitely not a 4-star accommodation. They change towels only every third day, so you have to visit the spa three times with the same towel (quite unhygienic). We had an excellent 2 nights family trip. The food was delicious, the wellness is perfect for families with small kids and it is open even after dinner. There are excellent programs like renessaince dinner, bowling competition, movie or wild animals show.

We went to Portobello based on a recommendation of friends, who both have 2 kids each. We asked them to recommend a good spa hotel not too far away from Budapest and Portobello came up multiple times. Now we know why. The hotel was quite cold for the two weeks of my stay due to a technical issue. Unfortunately, the spa area—which was the main reason I chose this hotel—was also too cold to fully enjoy. A fantastic hotel. We returned after a 13-year hiatus, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Even on hot summer days, the island stays cool, and from the hotel windows, you can see lush greenery instead of hot, stone buildings. Judging from the photos, I thought it was a very old hotel, but upon arrival, I found that the kitchen and rooms had actually been renovated. The bathroom seemed to have only been partially renovated, but I was very satisfied with the facilities and room size. This hotel has a gym, and I was the only one there when I went early in the morning. It was great. The Danube River is right outside the door, so you get amazing views, and you can take a walk along the river after dinner.

It was a lovely stay and location is excellent.

Overall, it was okay. It's not far from public transportation, but the photos online make it look much better than it actually is. The parking garage is a nightmare to use; you have to drive your car into a very small elevator to get to it, which is absolutely not suitable for larger vehicles.

Overall a very good hotel, we didn’t experience the breakfast as bakery’s (Artizán) are nearby. But the location is spot on. Penny’s (Local store) just around the corner, tram on the next street and approximately 20 min walk or so to arrive at parliament building. You can’t really ask more from the rooms, comfy bed and decent shower.

This apartment hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms and location are fantastic, directly opposite Heroes' Square and museums. You can even take a hot air balloon ride from the nearby park for panoramic city views.

The location is fantastic, right next to Heroes' Square and the starting point of the M1 metro line. The room was clean, and it even had a super large hot water kettle and authentic jasmine tea.

Lovely comfortable hotel on the Buda side close to the Castle. The number 16 bus was just around the corner which was handy for getting into town The room.waa very comfortable I would just say the bed very squeaky. Perhaps the mattress needs changed. A small, quiet hotel in a beautiful location near the castle. It is a 5 minute walk to a bus stop with a very regular service. Public transport is very good and easy to navigate your way around. There are lots of walking groups nearby which can be annoying but tge hotel was very quiet. The hotel room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The only drawback was that the hotel was located in an area with undulating terrain, so you have to go through a long flight of stairs on the way from the bus station to the hotel. Three times Michelin guide, food is rich is flavour for me but was slightly too salty for my family. I personally enjoyed the food a lot and was really satisfied with what I had. There are a few Michelin guide restaurants around and are all under the same group. This one is abit further from the fisherman’s bastion, so the odds of it having space is the highest.
