Was nice hotel but not the one advertised online so was a little disappointed with that

Unacceptable hygiene – avoid Stayed at Tiliana Hotel Budapest (20–23 Dec 2025) with my 6-year-old child. The room was dirty and unhygienic. The toilet had visible stains, the bathroom drain was blocked, and dirty water and debris came back up onto the floor. One pillow smelled so bad it was unusable. Housekeeping was informed but nothing was properly fixed. This is completely unacceptable, especially for families. I would not recommend this hotel.

“Very bad for a four-star hotel. The bathroom water did not drain and flooded the floor, the pillows and towels were dirty, and the minibar was broken. Overall hygiene was poor and far below acceptable standards. The service was very bad and staff were not helpful when these issues were reported. This hotel does not deserve its four-star rating. I would not recommend it.”

Excellent hotel!
This hotel is excellent. Among the best we've stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean, the swimming pool/ spa / sauna and outside seating area lovely. The breakfasts had lots of choice and we had an excellent evening meal there.
We'd definitely stay again.

The pool area looks like unfinished, the water was very cold. Dry lawn in the garden. Mess in the area, this wasn’t a 4 star hotel.

Honest opinion
The outdoor seating was cool and the food was okay . Beds are comfortable . Drinks are good . Staff is okay .. disipointing stuff is that the indoor pool is extremly small suitable only for 1 family very disipointing .. outdoor pool extremly cold even in august which is the hottest month .. rooms upon arival ware very dirty human hair everywhere notified receptionist and they have corrected it by cleaning .. over all i would not rate this hotel a 4 star maybe 2.7 but deffinetaly not 4 star the service standards and facilities are not that high

We had to wait for our room, reception staff quite rude.
No snacks at the bar/restaurant these had to be purchased in reception. Our evening meals were sent back as they arrived cold. We were given complimentary drinks to compensate.
Breakfast was great a good selection of foods and drinks. Whilst we ate we listened to other guests talking about the hotels failings. It was such a shame as the hotel was in such beautiful surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Tiliana. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just brilliant, being able to sit outside, eat and drink outside in the gorgeous sunshine was just lovely. The bedroom was great and a very comfortable bed. The hotel was really clean everywhere as well. Can't say anything negative about the hotel or anyone. Thank you so much.
