Hotel Piroska in Buk

This is NOT 4* hotel. It is rather a low cost accommodation with nice staff, good breakfast, dinner, pinball in common area and access to Bukfurdo (thus one * review). I should have known better when I booked it as it was too cheap to be true.. Here the positive part stops. You can hear EVERYTHING, no soundproof walls or doors. Old bathroom with bath curtain, stains all over the carpet in bedroom. It was too hot in the room despite we were here in April and weather was not that hot outside. No airconditioner. I don’t want to even imagine how it must be in summer. Time stopped here 30 years ago. Old furtniture and 90s equipment. Maybe it looks better in more expensive rooms but I would be pissed if I paid more and got this level of service. Wellness is pretty poor as well - tired covers on sunbeds, greasy stains in sauna and in moldy greasy pool.. we were here for three nights and no one cleaned our room ONCE. Just one day, a cleaning lady knocked on our door and asked if we need toilet paper. We were supposed to have a massage in the package but when we asked to book for evening, we were told that it is not possible as they are fully booked. No one told us during check-in that we need to book it in advance and since it was our last night, we left without any massage or alternative offer or compensation. Not recommended. Sorry!

Avoid this hotel by any chance!! We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. 3 bugs killed in the allergy room!! Cold water in 2 out of 3 rooms 2 days Way too hot in 2x out 3 rooms even with the window open 2 out of 4 saunas were closed!! Not clean rooms (around windows) The shower heads are from the 80s This is not a 4-star hotel.. there are many other 4 star hotels in Bük which are indeed 4 star hotels.

The service and the room we received was definitely NOT 4 star hotel quality.
