Reviews
The room was modern and impressive, featuring a very comfortable mattress and electric curtains. The newly renovated sauna felt brand new and high-end. In the restaurant, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the variety of desserts and delicious ice cream. Since we stayed for 7 nights, the all-inclusive alcohol available after lunch was a great bonus. The location is also very convenient, within easy walking distance of the bus stop.
Cons:
• Dishonest Management: The outdoor pool was closed, ruining the spa experience. The hotel failed to disclose this during booking, only emailing us after the cancellation period had expired. This left the indoor pools extremely overcrowded.
• Hygiene & Maintenance: The cold plunge pool was located in a corner and was visibly dirty with floating debris, suggesting a failed filtration system. The room's central AC barely worked, making it very stuffy unless we kept the windows open.
• Poor Housekeeping: One day, they removed dirty towels but provided no replacements, didn't make the bed, and failed to refill toiletries or toilet paper. I had to complain to the front desk twice to get it resolved.
• Food Concerns: While the desserts were good, the main dishes were very repetitive over 7 days. We noticed reused leftovers, including spoiled shrimp salad and withered greens. Additionally, the "wristband" policy for the restaurant was never enforced, which was confusing.
On the plus side, the biggest advantage is the drinking water regime. There's unlimited water practically 24/7.
The rooms are beautiful. I've stayed in both a superior and premium room. I liked the design of the superior one better.
Excellent soundproofing.
That's where the positives end, I think.
My biggest complaint was the reception staff. The only person who's helpful is Peter. The rest, if there's a problem, become incomprehensible and downright unpleasant.
Before checking in, I asked for a quiet, non-connecting room upstairs. I got an adjoining room on the 5th floor, facing the road. I wouldn't recommend it if you're concerned about that, as sleeping with the window open is uncomfortable. Okay, so the shower head in the bathroom is mounted vertically, and the water flows in a stream parallel to the floor. To wash, you have to hold it in your hands. There's no other way to attach it. There are no other options. The glass wall is so small that water floods the floor. The room smells bad in the evenings after the ventilation is turned off.
I asked to change rooms. They refused. I had to write to management. On the fifth day, they changed rooms, but to the second floor. It got even noisier. But now I can take a normal shower.
Furthermore. The medical center's service is disgusting. My skin was burned during the very first wrap procedure. They said it was an allergy that had suddenly appeared for the first time. But for some reason, this "allergy" started to heal after applying burn ointment. On the tenth day, there were marks like typical burns. But the worst part is that they demanded payment, because the procedure had already been performed. Thanks to Ms. Marta, who resolved the issue.
All the other treatments ultimately failed.
The food was mediocre. The meat is tough, even the Danubiuslv-Ensan hit, the duck, was impossible to chew. I never got to try watermelons or grapes because they were all gone. I was constantly looking for tablespoons or teaspoons.
I'd like to thank the waiter with the curled moustache. If I'm not mistaken, his name is Peter. The blonde girl with glasses simply hates guests and walks around the restaurant with such a frightening expression.
There are a lot of steps, and the garden gate is locked. It's very difficult for people with mobility issues to go up and down.
I've decided for myself that it's better to return to the unrenovated rooms at Thermal Ensan, but with
Food, SPA, territory, cleanliness in the room - everything was at the highest level.
The staff takes great care of the guests, which, unfortunately, cannot be said about the vacationers themselves.
The wines at the all you can drink were undrinkable and tasted bad. I wanted to enjoy some nice wine, but couldn't finish a glass :/
