If it didn't cost a night in this guesthouse, how much it costed, I would say that it's a great guesthouse, but considering the high price, it's not worth it. Kakadu hotel is situated in a quiet piece of town. There is a gas-station approximately 100-150 meters away. The personnel was very nice and they spoke German and English. Breakfest is buffet type and I found it tasty. I can only recommend this hotel.

I would give it 5 stars of it was a 3-star hotel, but they claim to be 4-star. As a 3-star hotel, I have no complaints about them. They are very reasonable priced. The staff is very polite. It's a big, busy (in August), probably late socialist-era resort hotel that's actually quite pleasant. And cheap. There's a holiday vibe. For an overnight stay it's excellent and I wouldn't have minded staying longer. I didn't try any of the many "health"/beauty treatments on offer but they're inexpensive. (The lifts/elevators are few and slow.)

Very nice accomodation and a family-like atmosfere. Amenities include breakfast, parking, Air conditioning, TV, mini-refrigerator, etc. Host (Mrs.Agnes) is friendly and helpful, with insightful hints about restaurants or places to visit. Enjoy and have fun!!

Decent but better hotels available. Food not that great at the hotel. Pool was fine, best part was the jacuzzi and sauna.

The staff were exceptional. Now Balaton lake is a very pretty area - the villages along the shore are beachside resorts. We went on a sporting weekend and we understand that this really was the last weekend of the tourist season before restaurants and hotels start closing for winter. When we came it was quiet because families already left. It is family friendly, so if you look for quite holiday ask the property for the right time.

The breakfast buffet was good. Close to the lake. Clean rooms, very nice owner. Parking on property and the gates are closed over night.

Andrew old-time charming holiday hotel. Good breakfast. Easy to muddy and reedy but of lake. Long walk to restaurants but pleasant under the moon (less so under heavy rain!)
