The room is very clean and quiet, and the breakfast is also good.
The room is very clean and quiet, and the breakfast is also good.
Great location, free on-street parking. They had a hair dryer and it was comfortable.
It was in a quiet residential area, and it felt safe.
We were looking for a cheaper option in the city. The hotel was adequate, but with the limited rooms there was no staff to support. Door “keys” are punch codes, which were not responsive, it took many attempts with the codes to get into our room each time. Easy drive to downtown tourist area.
It was like a DIY motel with no one on duty most of the day. You had to have a code to enter. I called ahead about early check in and was told it would depend on availability. However when we got there, no one was there and we couldn't use our code at the entrance until exactly 3:00. The breakfast was great.

Clean and basic rooms, comfortable beds, nice breakfast.
The hotel is very quiet. Great location.
Great! The hotel was clean and the breakfast was delicious! The front desk staff were kind and spoke in easy-to-understand English, which was very helpful!
Overall, it was a nice hotel. Breakfast was included and it was reasonably priced. It was a little far from Reykjavik, so it was a 10-minute drive away, which was great because we could see the Northern Lights. However, the room door wouldn't lock.
Room was clean, staff was kind. Really like that it was close to the city but far enough to get from the crowds
The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The location is fantastic as it offers free parking and close to a famous bakery, Costco and Sky lagoon. The breakfast is a typical Nordic breakfast which is very nice. Staff are warm and friendly. I will definitely come back again.

We were very happy with this accomodation! The day we left, we had to leave at 3 a.m. and were therefore to early to get breakfast. Knowing this, the very nice and helpful lady of the hotel made us some sandwiches, which were waiting for us on the counter. Recommended!
This hotel literally saved me a few others from a long day of exhaustion. They welcomed us in and we're so very nice and comforting. After a mess at the international airport which involved a power outage, freak storm, and hours upon hours of lines, culminating in false hotel vouchers from the airline (because the original hotels never received the voucher bookings because there was no power), we made...
Great place to stay for a night or two. Very close to the city center and also to the wharf. The beds were comfortable and every room has its own private bathroom which is nice. My only complaint is that they put us to the dining room/Breakfast room and it was VERY noisy in the morning when we were trying to sleep. Beyond that it was very nice and the staff were very accommodating.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Phoenix Hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the beds were really comfortable. We had a small kettle to make tea and coffee which was good. Every night the beds were turned down and a chocolate placed in the pillows which was a really nice touch. The 2 managers were lovely, they couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good too. All in...
The hotel is located very centrally in Reykjavik allowing you to reach every location on foot. The rooms are very clean and the service is excellent. The owners are always happy to share their insights on where to go or to give you directions to where you need to get. The breakfast is plenty to take you a long way through the day. Definitely recommend staying there
Absolute gem of a hotel. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud, so soft and comfy. Lovely and warm without the need to put the radiators on. Although we did use them to dry our clothes after a really rainy day. Everything you need is provided, especially if you do hand luggage only like we did. Hairdryer, toiletries, water, tea and coffee! We did bring our own towels for the secret lagoon and local...
Fabulous hotel in the centre of Reykjavik. Beautiful rooms snd very clean. The breakfast is fantastic. The hotel is on the main street in Reykjavik but in a quiet area. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us nice tips and information about Iceland.
A wonderful little hotel on the main street in Reykjavik centre. The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. The two gentlemen running it are very welcoming and gave us good tips on what to see in Reykjavik and around the city. Breakfast was fantastic.
Very nice small boutique hotel in the centre if Reykjavik. Very clean and beautiful decor. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was phenomenal. It’s on the main street but in a very quiet area. The bed is one if the best I had in a hotel room.

The accommodation was adequate, room was warm, beds comfortable. Kitchenette had kettle, microwave and fridge but no cutlery or crockery, we had to ask for it. The shower was very small, it was hard to move once you were in and difficult to control water temperature. Cheap accomodation.
Great location right near Hallgrimskirkja Church, easy walking distance to everything. Great for a short stay. I stayed the night before my ringroad tour and the night after and had a room on 3rd floor both times. Comfy bed and room was clean. Small kitchenette with microwave, kettle and fridge. Good single rooms for solo travellers at a decent price for Reykjavik. Bathroom small but useable. Decor...
Ideal for a quick stop before traveling on. Ideal location right next to Hallgrimskirkja church. Easy walk or bus to down town, where loads of restraints. Only 1 pillow which was very flat and toilet could do with a bit more of a clean. But generally very nice room.
Given an 'Average' rating, but this was perfectly acceptable for what we paid for the room. Very convenient for the town center (an easy walk down to road puts you on the high street), well placed for bus/taxi pick-up and put-down. Good value for money.
Not really a hotel. No TV or Kettle. Kitchenette with sink and microwave? Breakfast not available until after 09:00 in the Vietnam restaurant which also acts as the reception! Good location though. Bed & bathroom clean, but with a couple of cockroaches
Close to the cathedral and the bus station, the environment is quiet, the rooms are clean, there are many places to eat around, there are plenty of people, and the house prices are cost-effective. It is recommended

Needs some improvement with kitchen supplies. Not too much of glasses for drinks. Just beer or another beverage glass
Good location, I will choose again this property
Good basic accomadation Good value for money but this is not a luxury hotel. Buses to city center nearby but it is out of town. Plenty of parking. A bit slow at providing us with room access details.
It was a different experience with no person to contact regarding questions. Questionable neighborhood, but in the end it was OK.
Curious stay, because check-in simply happened by phone for us to communicate that we’d arrived, to get the code to enter, and to know what our room number was. The place is clean and it’s a big three-floor house in the outskirts of Reykjavik, which is an interesting area to stay in, too. It’s right next to a big park and a school, very quiet and cute, and there are two huge and very soft cats in the...
This is a "self-help" facility. There is no staff. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. But shared bathroom and kitchen could use some TLC. The location is great if you have a car, but way out from the center (40-50 minutes by bus), so beware.

I stayed here for a week in a mixed dorm room, and overall, it was a pretty comfy experience. The dorms were clean and, surprisingly, very quiet. I chatted with a few people, but mostly kept to myself. The best part? The dorm was never full during my stay, and for a few nights, I even had it all to myself - which was a nice little bonus! The biggest downside is the location. It's quite out of the...
Good to stay on a budget. The breakfast is fine and the stafff are helpful and bedrooms fine got to socialise with people over the world however the shower I was having problems getting the right temperature
For what it is, it's fine i guess. The room and the shower was clean, the rest not so much. The tables sticky, the floor old and thus not very appealing. Take care of your food! Ours was stolen from the fridge by other tourists. Not really a fault of the motel but still very uncool. If you are a light sleeper, the you shouldn't stay here! The road is very noisy. Not a problem for me but something to...
Nothing worse than a dorm room. I got to the hostel very very early in the morning (around 5am) and the staff in the kitchen let me sit in the restaurant and wait until i could check in at 2pm. I decided to go for a walk around 9am and the young lady behind the counter put my bag with her and watched it while i did that. they ended up being able to check me in around 10am. Was quite dirty when I arrived...
The hostel was pretty nice, the staff was helpful but not friendly at all. The kitchen was good, bathrooms clean. The only bad thing is that the beds are so extremely noisy, every time someone change slepping position 'even carefully', all the people inside the room note it. Breakfast is normal, but, it is better to buy something in bonus and cook it.
Stayed in a 16 person shared room. Room was clean and so was the bedding. Cleaning staff came in around 9:30am to start cleaning the common kitchen/bathroom areas. There were utensils and cooking supplies for solo travellers to use which was nice! Comfortable common spaces. The bedroom did smell slightly bad, I would argue that it was most probably because of the other guests hanging wet clothing/towels...

Stayed here for a single night as I was flying out of the domestic airport the next day and wanted somewhere near the domestic airport. If you want a night for a relatively low cost then this place is great value for money. I was in a room with my own toilet and shower, but there are alternatives in the guesthouse. My room was relatively clean and warm for January, I didn't have much noise despite...
Good and easy communication, clean rooms, free coffee and tea in kitchen area, and parking on street
Pros: Only a 15-minute walk from Reykjavik, and free parking is available outside the accommodation. Cons: Located on the basement floor, the accommodation had a strong damp smell. The toilet had no heating, making showering extremely cold.
Perfect place if you need to get the bus to Keflavik airport early in the morning. 15-20min walk to city center, depending on pace and where you're going. Super easy self check-in and check-out. I arrived in the evening and did not see any person related to property. Booked the room just for one night. My room had en suite bathroom and was a bit on the basement with windows a bit above ground level...
A great location to stay if you need to take an early bus to the airport. It is located across the street from the BSI station. About 20 minutes walk into the main town. You will be given a code to check in and drop the key on your way out. They were flexible and let me leave my luggage before my check in time. I had a room with two twin beds. One was a bit soft but the other one was perfect...
Perfectly adequate for what we needed. A stay for one night after arriving late at KEF, in the vicinity of the BSI. rooms were clean

I stayed in REK inn for two days and highly recommend it. The room was very clean and the location was great, easily accessible by walk and public transport, not far front the city center, and next to the Bonus supermarket. The cost was great comparing to Icelandic standards. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here the next time I visit Reykjavik!
The room here is quite silence and you can park your car freely outside the building. I mean at the other side of the street. I have seen the first snow in Iceland how beautiful we’re here and you can see the bonus supermarket near here. It’s only about several steps away from here.
A great place, easy to get to and ideal for providing a base to head off North West or to the south of the island. We had the double room with ensuite bathroom, clean, tidy & ideal for the two of us. Shared kitchen was good for breakfasts, couldn't comment on the the rest of the available facilities as we ate out most of the time so didnt need to use them. Free parking was a definite bonus as was Bonus...
Great hotel at a great price compared to everywhere else. It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the city centre but worth it for the quality and price. The room was clean and the area was quiet.
We stayed at that property for 3 nights. The self-check-in instructions were clear and easy, and had been sent one day in advance. It was a simple room on the ground floor in a house with a shared kitchen. Yet we had a bathroom in the room. It generally took 20 minutes to get to the town hall on foot. There was a comfortable bed, a TV, a small coffee table and a hanger in the room. The private bathroom...
Very close to the city centre, nice and quiet neighbourhood, with supermarket next door. Kitchen available to be used on site was perfect!

Hotel was very close to everything in a great location. Hotel provided an excellent breakfast that was suitable to all tastes. Rooms were a little dated , however they provided everything we needed, will definitely stay here again
We had a pleasant stay, clean rooms and had to share a bathroom but never had to wait to use and didn’t see anyone else. If you are a student/on a budget this is good value for your money. Location is also great— near bus stops for tours and in walking distance of many shops and restaurants.
I loved this cozy hotel. Access in and out was easy around the clock. Key drop off before reception opens was also easy. I stayed in an room with an en-suite bathroom and double bed, and was sad to leave when the time came. The bed was so comfortable and everything was immaculately clean. The location is fantastic. My daughter accidentally dropped the top of her contact lens case down the sink, and...
Brilliant location in Reykjavik. Walkable to most places. The room was very comfortable with a large and warm bed. Make sure you get to breakfast early, as they were running out of food at 9am. I would definitely stay here again. It was very welcoming and comfortable.
Stayed for 3 nights with a friend. Hotel location really good, just in the centre of the city. Room nice and warm with private bathroom ( I know you can book also rooms with sharing bathroom). The room could be little be noisy because of the thin window on early morning or late evening, with the hotel located just on main street where all the buses are coming to pick up tourist. Breakfast good, with...
The hotel is right next to one of the pickup points for all tours and buses, downtown shops and areas are perfect walking distance. The rooms are small but that's fine since it's mainly for sleeping and keeping your things while you explore. Some rooms have private bathroom, others have a shared one and it's about 3 rooms per bathroom, they are always clean but other guests aren't as clean with them...

Very well priced for a stay that was neat and tidy. Excellent kitchen facilities. Just a shame people don't clean up after themselves and left the kitchen dirty - no fault of the owner though.
The stay was fantastic. Our flight was delayd and we got to the guest house late in the evening, at about 11P.M, they left the key for us and the instructions where to find everything we need. Felt like at home. Super comfy beds, slept better than at home. Very good good decision if your on a budget.
The best thing for all people is that sometimes we need all things in nearby-setup--all-in-one-building ?????️☮️?️
Room's good enough for this price and Landlord is very friendly. I recommend this guesthouse if you looking for a place to sleep.
