Very nice ??, i’ve been with my school and we had no problem.
Stayed five nights in March 2018. Pleasant stay, good room, bed, and breakfast was very satisfying. Staff were helpful. Would recommend. One drawback was the hotel is far from city center but close to a mall with everything we needed. Gray line bus service helped with transportation needs. Traveled from USA via WOW Iceland airline.
Good hotel for it's price. Close to highway, but I wouldn't say it was a problem. Trivial ham-cheese-omlet-coffee breakfast was good.
I am Christie Varisano (Isaiah's mom) who just returned from Iceland and stay at Hotel Smari....it was a fantastic stay! The Staff being their best asset ...just wonderful and helpful always!!! Rooms were clean, beds comfy, and BREAKFAST was a wonderful experience of delights! I read another review mentioning some maintenance could be improved(which I would agree) but as with any home there is always...
Joyce Bertschinger here we (My BF & I ) stayed from Nov 13-17th. It was clean & comfortable! Breakfast was super, great! The four people we met working at the desk far exceeded our expectations . They where kind & courteous & very helpful !
Great service. The hotel is clean, in a very good and quiet area with restaurants and shopping centre near by. The reception is so helpful!

Good to stay on a budget. The breakfast is fine and the stafff are helpful and bedrooms fine got to socialise with people over the world however the shower I was having problems getting the right temperature
For what it is, it's fine i guess. The room and the shower was clean, the rest not so much. The tables sticky, the floor old and thus not very appealing. Take care of your food! Ours was stolen from the fridge by other tourists. Not really a fault of the motel but still very uncool.
If you are a light sleeper, the you shouldn't stay here! The road is very noisy. Not a problem for me but something to...
Nothing worse than a dorm room. I got to the hostel very very early in the morning (around 5am) and the staff in the kitchen let me sit in the restaurant and wait until i could check in at 2pm. I decided to go for a walk around 9am and the young lady behind the counter put my bag with her and watched it while i did that. they ended up being able to check me in around 10am. Was quite dirty when I arrived...
The hostel was pretty nice, the staff was helpful but not friendly at all. The kitchen was good, bathrooms clean. The only bad thing is that the beds are so extremely noisy, every time someone change slepping position 'even carefully', all the people inside the room note it.
Breakfast is normal, but, it is better to buy something in bonus and cook it.
Stayed in a 16 person shared room. Room was clean and so was the bedding. Cleaning staff came in around 9:30am to start cleaning the common kitchen/bathroom areas. There were utensils and cooking supplies for solo travellers to use which was nice! Comfortable common spaces. The bedroom did smell slightly bad, I would argue that it was most probably because of the other guests hanging wet clothing/towels...
I stayed one night here and it was fine. The room was very hot even though we opened the window. We just couldn't find a way to turn down the heat on the radiator (possibly user error). The breakfast wasn't very good so I just ate some yogurt I bought at a store, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it.

Super clean hotel, wonderful breakfast, it's not very close to the center, but if you don't like walking 30 minutes there, you can take the bus that stops practically in front of the hotel. I highly recommend it.
A neat hotel, with a good breakfast. Very independent and well arranged with garage
It's not in the city center, but the flybus can go directly to the hotel entrance. The breakfast is OK. Self check-in is available. The room is not big. I only stayed here for one night and left in the morning. It's hard to comment on other aspects, but it's OK overall.
Room is much smaller than expected, and the value for cost and parking facility is low but manageable.
Self check in hotel, great facilities and parking. 10 minutes away from the center.
Close to the bus lines.
The breakfast is amazing! It’s lot's of good stuff, but it gets changed from day to day. These people prepare on the same day, and not the night before. It makes a huge difference in the quality.
The rooms are modern, well designed, and well lit. The plumbing is excellent as well. Some other hotels have sulfurous water because Iceland is on a volcano. These guys have it managed...

We were pleasantly surprised, rooms are spacious and lovely and warm, we had to run the radiator down. Clean comfy beds, rooms tidied on a daily basis, tea trays restocked and lovely hot showers, with it being Iceland expect a slight smell of sulphur from the hot water. Stayed here 6-9th March. The rooms are basic but did the job. Could be a little cleaner, dust on the lamps etc but the beds and bathroom were clean so that's the main thing. The rooms were very toasty, we had brought hot water bottles with us not knowing what to expect and we didn't need to use them once. The best thing about this hotel was the customer service. The staff helped us so much with...
This hotel was booked by the tour company and the reviews were good. We arrived after a stressful start to the holiday and immediately felt relaxed when we met Mike & Dido. They helped us to plan the excursions and suggest a place to eat, which luckily was a block away, as it was windy, cold and snowing. Would suggest you pay a visit to Ginger, the healthy fast food place. The rooms were a good size...
Pleasantly surprised by the room's size. Felt comfortable and safe. Quiet despite being very close to the reception area. Great location among the locals as another guest pointed out to me. Friendly & helpful staff (reception & housekeeping) Room was a bit warm but opening the windows helped. Free Wi-Fi. Would definitely stay again.
The staff at the arctic comfort hotel was amazing , nice room , nice continental breakfast . The friendliness of the staff was amazing . They went above and beyond to make my stay as good as it was . I will be coming back that's for sure
Awesome service. Great prices. Good and clean rooms with a mini fridge and electric kettle and good big windows. Also, just 5 min walk to all the nearby restaurants and supermarkets. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I'd stay there when I visit again for sure!

Nice facility. Staff could be nicer. The location is okay, but you still need a taxi to get to most attractions. There are a lot of stairs to go up. Breakfast is good. The bathrooms are very clean.
Great hotel for price, easy and accessible, simple check-in and check out process, staff were friendly and very helpful
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grimur hotel. The place was clean, convenient. Icelandic people are very friendly, but Zuzanna took it to another level. She helped us out so much and always with a smile.
Very good hotel, nice localisation and close to the city centre. We did not use the public transport but there's a bus stop in the front of the hotel. Big parking lot for cars and a supermarket on the building as well. Everything is self check-in. They send you codes and you don't need anything else. Very good breakfast, cozy and clean place. Staff very friendly and helpful but wi-fi was not working...
Great place to stay when in Reykjavik. Good clean facilities. You get the codes to enter the place and your room prior to check in and that's it. No staff needed. Hassle free check in and check out procedure. Decent location, 7 to 10 mins from the city centre.
Considering how everything around here is so expensive, this hotel is pretty great. I mean, it's still not affordable for some, but I enjoyed my stay here and that makes it worth the money.

Everything is good except two things:
1. The shower area is too dark and small (only 2.5'x2.5' a small square). See picture below. Luckily my husband and I are small guys! Their photo on the website is a bit tricky! as I usually check the outlook of washroom before I book a hotel. I was so disappointed and frustrated at that time honestly.
2. No self service laundry in the hotel as it is very common...
Nice and clean hotel. Room is quite spacious compared with other hotel. Location is also convenient with a few minutes drive to city Center. Although it is near airport but it is very quite. There is no noise at all.
Front desk wasn’t too friendly to us while we checked-in. The room is decent
Luxury hotel with a cozy rooms. Lots ofmparking and great experience here.
Location is quite far from city Center. Need to walk 30mins. Not much places nearby. Near to the museum. Walking from the bsi bus terminal with luggage is not advisable. No proper walking area. Mainly on the road.
Nice room and ambience. Dental kit not provided so pls bring your own if you do not want to pay 700 over ISK for one set.

Rich breakfast and beautiful accommodation
Conscientious location. Check-in was very easy. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She recommended dining options, asked about our travels for the day and made suggestions for additional sights to see on our route for the day. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was included…a nice selection of breads, cereals, yogurt, and fruit.
The hotel was really clean, safe, quiet and, convenient location. The staff is very friendly especially Alex in the front desk he was so helpful.
Maybe improve the breakfast variety. Eggs can be cooked in different ways. Fruit can also be different.
Refused first room as it smelt (not the sulphur smell that you sometimes find) but in the living area. Quickly was given a second room that was large spacious and clean. Shower wasn’t great, did not go that hot and would suddenly go cold. No front screen, just one to the side, toilet and all the floor in front of the toilet gets soaked - a squeegee would have helped to not have a soaking bathroom floor...
Stayed after a late flight in. Was only like 35 min from KEF and right off the highway. Very reasonably priced, clean and staff was incredible polite and friendly. Breakfast was good and multiple options. We enjoyed our stay

Great Place to Stay in Reykjavík
This hotel is in a great location being just a short walk from Laugavegur and the hotel staff was excellent. The room was clean and orderly.
Great stay @Reykjavik near sea side
Very good & friendly service and really excellent breakfast. The hotel.is on walking distance from the seaside.
The bed is a bit small for two and I am not sure if there is a superior room with larger beds. The rooms are a bit noisy, you hear everything from the people in the isles.
The ataff was happy to answer any question and point you in the right direction. It was very clean and my room was quiet.
The front desk staff are very helpful, and the hotel can store luggage for free. The breakfast is also very good! The hot water becomes stable very quickly!

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I went here. Max is the best! I came to Iceland with absolutely no plan, just to see a friend.

The lady taking care of the hostel is smart, well spoken and extremely helpful! Good guest house central location
The main advantages of this place: it's cheap and close to town center. You better have everything, including towel and coffee with you, or you'll have to pay for it there. Fortunately hot water is included, as well as the shower.
All in all, if you are looking for a bed to sleep and don't care about luxuries, it is worth considering.

Very nice and calm place to relax after Iceland trip. Clean and comfortable.
Was here for a one night stay, this place is charming and is all self check in. Walkable in the area and we were able to park the car directly in front. Our private bathroom was very small and tight, and the water temp fluctuated, but all in all a good stay!
No staff to meet. Check in was super simple! It is however on a major roadway. Shared bathroom facilities which I felt was a bit strange. Water did smell like sulphur. First time I smelled that in the wash but it wasn’t super strong. Average overall.
When i previously stayed at this property a couple of years ago I thought it was excellent and was looking forward to staying again. Booked this place for one night before going for the big circle. Had to wait for about 30 minutes to get in. Luckily there was another guy waiting that had local cell phone so he dialed place owner. Otherwise we would probably wait forever. The place itself is fairly old, but the rooms were ok for the overnight.
The owner was so nice! The stay was comfortable and clean! Next time im coming to Iceland ill definitely be booking here again!
It is more like a shared house made into a guest house. Looks and feels kinda old inside, room wasn't cosy. You can't take shower between 11 pm and 7 am. You have to take your shoes off as you enter. It's value for money but don't expect hotel comfort.

Wonderful, cute nice place. The morning breakfast really helped for a long day and the room service was top notch. Harpa arranged for us the cab back to Keflavik airport as well. Really sweet people and really fun.

The hotel environment is very good, with free drinks and snacks at any time, a rich breakfast buffet, and because there is little light pollution around, you can see the aurora when you go out. The only problem is that the heating is not sufficient.
