The property is lovely, the terrace on a sunny day was especially a hit point! The town is quiet and had excellent food nearby. Stefan was an amazing host, very comfortable for a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. We felt like home.

Stayed her with my wife and son. Wonderful apartment in excellent location near golden circle and southern Iceland attractions. Would recommend it to anyone traveling with a family.

We had unfortunate luck with the weather, but the stay was a cool experience. Check in was seamless and extremely pleasant. Felt very welcomed, and if we ever find ourselves back in Iceland we definitely would stay here again.

This stay made our trip! Clean, comfy, really well heated domes with heated mattresses etc. Best part was, after a cloudy night not spotting much I woke up at 6am for the bathroom and there was a whole light show above the domes! A really cool and unique glamping campgrounds with lots of interesting nooks and crannies. The main kitchen / dining / bathrooms house is well furnished and has a decent kitchen. A few eating areas, but overall can get a little crowded during busy times. Restrooms are 3 shower stalls, 3 toilet stalls, 2 sinks. Plenty of towels provided. Glamping experience with nice amenities all around and a really unique lounge area in the barn. The main area is a large building and has multiple bathrooms and showers. This was an unexpected delight. The owners take pride in their clamping decor and really made an extra special place for visitors to stay. They showed us around and explained things very well and the sleep area is huge with a full table n chairs, too. Loved it!!

They had an ok kitchen but no cork screw, no colander. A really large bathroom but the sink was very, very small - so weird. Beds comfortable. Power went out for awhile but someone came and they were able to restore it. We had booked in error the day before and switched it but they refused to give us a refund for that night. It was 6 months before the visit so they totally could have sold it again...

The room was correct, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was basically equipped but enough for our needs. Now, to the downsides, the bathroom drainage was not working well, so the whole bathroom was flooded after a shower. What was even worse was the lack of warm water. In the kitchen, the cold water pressure was almost nonexistent, and the rest tasted to rotten eggs.

Somewhat disappointing First, this place is not "on the beach" but about 400m away and you cannot see the sea. The first room provided had not been cleaned. Provided with a second room which was clean and bigger but hellishly hot and the window was nailed shut so we had to leave the room door open to try and remove the heat. Its an older building but clean and comfortable inside. The check in is a bit confusing. It tells you to call a number to get the code for the door but they didn’t answer for quite awhile. One of the best accommodations we have in our trip. Place was really clean inside and 2 large lobby room served as a way for us to play games and eat food with while family. Best part is we were the only ones for the 3 nights we stayed. Highly recommend this place for big family.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Side Cottages in heavenly calm Eyrarbakki. The cottage and especially the kitchen was extremely well equipped. This was quite important as the town is very small and you need a car to get anything. Internet service was stable at all times.

I stayed only one night but place was really wonderful. The room was very clean and lots of cooking tools are prepared. Of course salts, pepper, oil is in the house. Bakki offers very comfortable rooms and apartments right by the beach. We stayed in one of the rooms with a kitchen and it offered everything we needed. We stsyed here for one night, this is a house in selfoss, where owners live in the same house with guests, the bathroom is not private and you share your dining, living area and the kitchen with the owners, our room was attached to the kitchen wall so we could hear them cooking and talking in the kitchen.

Rooms and guesthouse are super clean, easy access to golden circle. We arrived late and didn't realise the kitchen was off limits outside of breakfast times but the host did let us use the microwave as we hadn't had dinner. His comments about it being tiring to wait up for guests to arrive and to leave unused towels folded and put in a particular place did leave us getting like were stepping on eggshells...

Convenient location for our travels, we spent the night at the campground portion. Showers were nice and the kitchen area was nice. However, the washing machine was broke and took a long time to wash our load of laundry.

Nice campground right in town. Heated kitchen area with plenty of tables and a couple of hot plates and sinks. Three showers in an open area with shower curtains. Everything was clean.

The bedroom size is just perfect. The compact kitchen is super helpfull to do a good meal (you can find everything you need there: cutlery, pan, salt, oil, etc). The bedroom has heater inside the toialet and nearby the bed, and it worked normally.

The place to stay is very close to the church. Service is so-so. Breakfast is okay. Eating at KFC nearby is the most cost-effective option; places like Da Shi Dai are just a few minutes' walk away. I ate there. The pizza was over 200 kilos, and the crust was completely burnt. I saw other people were also complaining. A bowl of noodles was 170 kilos, a fried rice was 200 kilos, a taco was 120 kilos...

They were very attentive and provided warm service; there's really nothing to say, just go for it. Cleanliness could be improved, the bed and blankets are a little small, but overall it was still very good.

This hotel has a very stylish design, and the price is surprisingly reasonable. The bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and small windows are all very tasteful. The hotel also has free parking, which is very convenient.

The rooms were clean and the location was nice, but the rooms were a little dated looking. For the price I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of the rooms, and I thought breakfast was lackluster. Comparable to a low end hotel breakfast in the USA. Though there weren’t any big issues with the hotel, I probably would not stay there or recommend it.

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed in on out Icelnad ring road trip. So good that we started and finished here. The check in was great. The Hotel staff were polite and accommodating. Rooms are very clean and spacious and the staff is exceptionally friendly. There's free tea and coffee (even without booking breakfast) and a very nice shared kitchen and a comfy dining space. A hot tub is also available and an outside winter garden with seat space is provided as well. Shared bathrooms are separate from shared toilets.

I have never felt so well cared for! I really felt like I found an ally in Iceland to give me advice. The washer here was broken so our hostess took our laundry home and brought it back fresh and folded. We enjoyed our stay so much. Great accommodations and a great hostess!

Nice place to stay and they have hot tub from 6.30pm until 11pm.. Staying in room 201 everything was great except the toilet air filter is a bit noisy and its auto stop.. One of the best valued guest houses we have stayed in our 8 days trip in Iceland, with great clean rooms and shared kitchen (free coffees) and bathroom facilities. Great if you are tight in budget and want to cook your own meals. Theres plenty of free parking around. Manager is very friendly and helpful too, so for the money, I serously have no complains at all.

I went here on a school trip an it’s a classic youth hostel. Rooms of 4 and the beds are nice but I have seen better. The shower does smell a bit like H2s which smells like rotten eggs but it’s unnoticeable. This is a lovely little cottage with 3 small bedrooms, 2 queen and one with bunkbeds. Beautiful terrace overlooking the fields, you can watch the icelandic horses grazing. The large hot tub was perfect in the evening! Comfortable beds. 2 bathrooms, one is quite roomy, good showers. Kitchen was fine and quite well equipped (although we didn't cook).

Okay. The house is small but sufficient if you're only staying one night. They had an outdoor barbecue, which I would have appreciated if I'd known beforehand… Overall, it was good. A pleasant stay, the managers were very helpful and attentive at all times, and even though we didn't see them, the direct communication was fantastic. The only downside was the two small, separate single beds.

Didda and Erling are nothing short of amazing! What impressed me is their attention to detail. We slept like babies in those warm beds. We had everything we needed. There are also beautiful horses in the area. I’ll be thinking about this stay for a very long time. Takk 💙❤️🤍

So happy to have stayed here. We saw the the Northern lights! This place was convenient to the golden circle and super quiet. The hosts were wonderful kind ppl.

First and foremost, you need to know that this is an extremely clean and well-kept guest house. Right down to the broom in the room. The bedding is of high quality and very comfortable. The temperature is perfect, if you find it too hot you can turn down the radiator directly on the spot. The fridge and microwave provided by the owner and his wife were very useful as our aim was to save our budget...

The room was well thought out and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and had a great night's rest 😌. Breakfast was not encluded, but there was breakfast available for a cost.

A nice and quiet place in the Selfoss area. We got a free room upgrade. We booked this hotel to stay after finishing the Golden Circle. We saw the northern lights here, after we were notified via a special WhatsApp group.

Decent room for it price. Location is good because it's in the countryside which offers good chance to see the northern lights but has easy access to selfoss (~30min with slow driving)

The hotel was clean, but the room had a slightly stuffy smell. There were only two electrical outlets in the room, so it was a bit of a hassle. The heating was adequate!

We got a room on the second floor so we had to carry our luggage by using the stair. The room was spacious for 4 persons with well-equipped kitchenwares. The host was kind and she offered us to join the goat tour of her farm for free but we couldn’t make it because we arrived there later than the tour started. An amazing place to stay after a long, adventurous day relaxing in the sauna and hot baths is the perfect way to unwind. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options and is a fantastic start to the day. Complimentary coffee, cookies, and fruit available throughout the day are a wonderful bonus. Just outside of Selfoss, good location to get to lots of sites, included breakfast was great, helpful people that run it gave me lots of advice on my roadtrip that saved me some headaches.

We went to eat at the Green House Hotel food hall, which offers a wide variety of cuisines to suit all tastes. Afterwards, we stopped by their shops, where we were welcomed by Jorge, who also works at the hotel reception. He was extremely kind and helpful, providing excellent service and giving us great advice on the best activities in the surrounding area.

Room was very spacious but lacking storage space, the bathroom could have also done with a full enclosure rather than the wet room style. The bathroom bin was not emptied from the previous guests. Great location in a lovely valley full of hikes and hot springs. The b&b doesn’t offer any breakfast anymore but you can order a lunch box a day in advance. Rooms are very small and there is no real common area, with the kitchen doubling as laundry room. Be aware of the mosquitos.

The hotel room is very large, with a corridor, living room, and dining room. You can cook your own meals. The facilities are also new. There is a supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. However, you still need to call the hotel to ask which room you want and what the password is for the box where the room key is. People who don't speak English may not be able to figure it out.

We stayed in apartment 1 which is on ground floor. The apartment is lovely. We had a clog in the shower drain and it was fixed immediately by staff. The only slight improvement I would suggest would be a little more lighting or stronger lighting as the walls are dark and we had to sometimes raise the window shades to see well.
