Hotel Langaholt in Budir

It’s more of a guesthouse than a proper hotel. The rooms are ok:ish, but very over priced. The view is nice, but there is no ventilation so it’s super humid if it’s raining. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean but the furniture was very outdated. The bathroom was small and outdated, water pressare was not great. Make sure you book the rooms in the new ving.

Breakfast was ok, only cold selection and a boild egg. Be warned - the hotel is on the country side, hence there are no real choices for dinner. As a result hotel dinner buffet is extremely overpriced, and the quality is what you can expect from a buffet.

Service was ok:ish, more on the laidback side. There is no competence to recommend activities, hiking trails etc at the reception. You need to google it or go to a visitors center ~ 20 km away to find out what to do in the area.

The whole place is a mix of the golf course, the camping site, and the not so good looking hotel. When you enter you often have to go and find the receptionist in the dining area. The whole vibe is off, and the kitchen staff can be quite rude while taking out the food to the tables (they also like to wear T-shirts and trainers for work). The seal watching beach is really nice, just don’t expect the 3 km on good trails in 80 min what they say on the hotel website. It is rather 5 km and often there are no paths, expect climbing rocky shores, and at one place crossing a fence into private property.
