Highly praised breakfast with fresh fish selection and artisan bakery pastries Comfortable beds and well-equipped rooms with heated floors Friendly and helpful staff with good concierge service Central location on a pedestrian street close to restaurants and bus stops Modern, clean rooms with good noise isolation and warm atmosphere Some standard rooms described as quite small and cozy One guest reported very poor service and long wait times despite room availability No hot food options included in breakfast buffet were disappointing to some Parking can be challenging, requiring use of nearby public parking Rooms may get too warm, requiring windows to be opened even in January

Everything was great except the room was a bit small. The location is on a pedestrian street. The bed was very comfortable.

I've stayed in other hotels in Iceland and wanted to experience something different, so I changed to another one. I didn't expect the service of this hotel to open my eyes. If I could give it a score of 0, I would make the guests wait for six or seven hours or even longer even though there were rooms available. And I seriously suspect that the hotel manager is discriminating. I looked at the reviews on Google and they are all a mess. The location of the hotel is not particularly convenient. It takes a while to walk to the bus stop, and cars can't drive in. In short, the experience is super super bad. But they don't care about the feelings and reviews of the guests 🇨🇳

Highly recommended, great location, great Service. Although the room was a bit small, but given the room Rate was quite affordable in Reykjavik, This hotel is certainly great Value for money.

The hotel is very popular. I could only book a standard room for a king-size bed room before. But when I was about to check in, I saw a superior room and grabbed it immediately. The size of the superior king-size bed room was OK, but the superior twin room should not be 24 square meters and seemed very small. So my friend upgraded the double standard to a suite.

A serious pizza to be fair. Great job. I'll be back again soon.

Try the ravioli. Very good. Order a pizza to go. The quantity is so less you would feel hungry soon.

F**ing disgusting. We were sitting next to the pizza maker. The heaters where behind us. The waiter then dropped our childrens pizza right in front of us, told us that they would make another one. The waiter put the pizza RIGHT ON THE HEATER BEHIND US. Then a few moments later he brought it back to us. Claiming it was a new one.

Their Rye bread ice-cream with cream and caramelized rhubarb syrup was amazingly delicious! Their Icelandic platters were worth trying out if you wish to sample some Icelandic specialty such as mashed fish and smoked trout.

Service was quick and cafe attendants were friendly despite the busy crowd. This cafe is definitely worth visiting ??

Food is traditional Icelandic. We had the fish stew there, and it was ok, but not the best we had in Reykjavik. Beautiful location, delicious rye bread ice cream (sounds weird, but it works!). Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.
26.11.2017 Miguel
Great atmosphere, with lovely music playing. Very amicable staff.

The food, homemade Icelandic ware, is delicious and affordable compared to a large majority of places in Iceland.

I recommend trying the Rye Bread Ice-cream.

Based on the menu and the smell that hit me at the front door, I was expecting fishy and funky. It ended up being delicious fish, meat soup, and veggies. The fermented shark was pretty weird, but worth trying. Prices not too bad for a huge plate of food.
15.11.2017 Sam
One of the best and most authentic meals of our trip! We got here 10 minutes before they opened and we're seated right away. We split one of the platters with a bit of everything. Weirdly delicious! Make sure you an adventurous eater tho!

During our stay we visited this location three times. The staff was phenomenal and the food was great. Awesome pizza and I'd recommend to anyone who is craving for some.

My 9 y/o daughter wanted a pizza and this place was open after 20:00 so we were fortunate.

The place was nice and warm and the ambiance was very pleasant. We ordered the cheese pizza and it was very good. At only stayed for a quick pizza but it would've been nice to go there for dinner.

Good place of you're looking for something familiar.
