Dining at our host's beautiful rooftop in Jaipur was an unforgettable experience that truly captured the essence of Indian hospitality. We participated in a cooking demonstration as part of our tour of Jaipur. We sipped cocktails on the rooftop of our host’s beautiful home as we watched her prepare each dish. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the papad curry, a Rajasthani dish. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, showcasing the culinary expertise of our host. The chapati, warm and freshly made, paired beautifully with the curry, making each mouthful a comforting reminder of home-cooked meals. For dessert, we enjoyed halwa, made by our host. It was rich, sweet, and perfectly textured. It was the ideal way to conclude our meal, leaving us with a satisfied sweetness that lingered long after the last bite. Our host’s graciousness, combined with the delicious buffet, made for a perfect night. I cannot recommend this dining experience highly enough—it's a must for anyone visiting Jaipur!

We had a wonderful experience with Devika our host. She welcomed us to her lovely home, where she also offers B&B. We were 2 couples and were joined by one guest who was staying with her. The 5 of us had the opportunity to chat with Devika and learn how to use a range of spices to make specific dishes whilst seated in her lovely rooftop kitchen. We loved the opportunity to join in with the cooking and to watch Devika at work whilst sipping on a drink with freshly prepared snacks (!). After the demonstration we all sat together to enjoy a freshly cooked Indian meal of 3 courses. This is an experience not to be missed. We have the recipes to try at home too!

My wife and I had a superb experience at Ikaki Niwas in Jaipur. We stayed for 2 nights in February, whilst visiting the amazing sites of the city. Sathak and his wife were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Lovely food and a great place to stay. Highly recommend this heritage hotel.

We were lucky enough to have a cooking experience at a local house on our trip around India. We met the owner, Devika, who explained all about spices and how they used them in cooking. Then she let us have a go at making chapatti. That was very brave of her but we didn’t burn anything. This was a truly special experience and we can thoroughly recommend it if you have the chance. A huge THANK YOU to Devika for a wonderful evening.

A really restful and welcoming guest house just outside the main city. It is the perfect location to relax after a manic day of sight seeing in Jaipur. The owner, manager and staff are all so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good and we had dinner one evening which was very tasty. They run cookery demonstrations here which we wished we’d signed up for. I had the best cup of tea here and my husband was delighted with the stock of cold Kingfishers. We also enjoyed their vegetarian club sandwich on two occasions, delicious. The property is spotless, our bed was very comfortable, great AC and WiFi and a super shower (also had hairdryer). So a definite highly recommend from us, very sad to leave.

We (a group of 8 European tourists) were met at the front door by the friendly lady of the house and were led to the terrace. We were offered an appetizer with a delicious green sauce. She then prepared a curry and chappati's, explaining the recipe in very fluent English and inviting us to participate in baking chapati's. Afterwards we had our dinner which was tastefull. Afterwards we received the detailed recipes. Many thanks. Note: we were not guests at the guesthouse.

We attended a cooking demonstrarion followed by dinner at Ikaki. We were a party of 16. Devita was very welcoming, and gave a great talk and demonstation of the Ragastan cooking style and spices. The session was interactive and several of our group took up the chance to make chipatis. After we were offered a buffet style dinner, where the selection of dishes was wonderful to experience the different spice cultures. We all had a fabulous time, insight into cooking and Devita shared some recipies fot us to try at home. We were grateful for the warm and homely environment.
