The Spin Hotel in Chennai

0/5 – Horrible experience.
My booking was scheduled for 12 PM check-in, but I informed the hotel that I would arrive around 3 PM as I was travelling.

Later, the staff called and asked me to delay my check-in further to 6 PM due to an electricity issue. Since this was communicated at the last minute and I had a wedding to attend, I had no choice but to cancel the booking. Would not recommend this place.

I have booked my room directly in the reception on 06.01.2026 and they charged me Rs.2000/-. We got the room No.301. Firstly, there was no water supply in restroom. I contacted the reception thrice and then they made alternate arrangements to use the washroom from nearby room. No hot water supply for bathing in the alternate room as well. Then while I came back at evening. It was shocking that still the water supply was not provided and that irritated us to a core. Kettle in room is just a showcase piece. Importantly, Due to AC room, there is no proper ventilation in room. The cigarette odour in the room was unbearable. This shows how perfect they are cleaning the room. (I don't have a smoking habit, so you guessed it,right.!) Lastly, it was around 7.30, the power got shut down and we were able to feel the generator vibration in the room.

I have been staying at this hotel for more than a year and it used to be excellent. Unfortunately, after the recent change in management and staff, the service has gone downhill completely.

Even with a confirmed, scheduled booking, I am made to wait for a long time during check-in with no proper communication or apology. The room pricing also seems to change arbitrarily based on whoever is at the reception, which feels very unprofessional and unfair.

By the end of the day, the overall service is extremely poor. No one is willing to listen to concerns or take responsibility, and basic customer issues are simply ignored.

Very disappointing to see a hotel that was once reliable turn into such a bad experience. I will reconsider staying here in the future and cannot recommend it anymore.

Am suprised how did they rate this hotel as 4 star.
1. Worst experience
2. Poor service
3. No hot water. They know from long time that hot water is not working but they are not letting us know about it.
4. All employees know the room codes and there is no deadlock for safety of your family.
5. So many cockroaches.
Man.. am tired in making a list.

Somany in the bed we could not able to sleep properly that night.
yes, the hotel staff changed our room at 1 am but there was a bug fear we were not able to sleep.
