Sri Ratih Cottages in Ubud

Excellent value for money. Spacious/clean rooms. Very solid breakfast and restaurant options. Wonderful spa! Nice location close to some of the best walking routes in Ubud as well as healthy restaurants.

The resort is a little paradise in Bali— beautiful, peaceful, with attention to every little detail. The rooms were lovely, the people so kind and helpful, and well located for walking to the shops. We will definitely return!

Lovely well kept hotel with amazing staff. The food was some of the best we had on our trip. The grounds so peaceful and green and lovely clean pool. Had a spa service and it was one of the best I had as well. Would have like a bit more comfortable chairs to sit on our deck. We just had a small love seat which was a bit tight. Our room was always cleaned twice a day. Thank you. Lots of restaurants nearby to walk to, if you choose to leave. Overall we would give Ubud a miss, as it was way to busy, but would highly recommend this hotel if you do go, Gives you a bit of peace in the mayhem.

Sri Ratih is a true sanctuary! Staff are wonderful, the rooms superb and the grounds are exquisitely landscaped. We love, love this place!

Facilities: This is a 38-year-old hotel in the local Balinese style, quite resilient to age, and has undergone several renovations. The staff's descriptions convey a love for the hotel and a unique local tranquility. The rooms on the first floor feature Southeast Asian-style furniture made of natural wood, and the bathrooms use Toto showers. The toilets and showers, as described online, blend seamlessly with the natural environment. Privacy is not a concern. The rooms are accessed via sliding doors leading to an outdoor balcony on the first floor. The balcony overlooks a courtyard path with sofas, where a gentle breeze can be felt.

Cleanliness: The entire hotel is integrated into nature, but the staff maintains it daily, ensuring everything is well-organized. Cleanliness is good; the only thing to watch out for is the mosquitoes. There aren't many, but remember to close the door when entering or leaving the room, including the shower area.

Environment: The guest rooms are two- or three-story villas surrounding a courtyard with trees, flowers, a swimming pool, and a fishpond, creating a serene atmosphere. Next to the restaurant is an internal temple within the hotel, dedicated to the local faith. Every morning, the staff prepares small flower boxes and places them on the road, tables, and stone steps. As the only predominantly Hindu region in Indonesia, Bali's people are peaceful and gentle, as are the staff. Every household here has an ancestral temple and statues of deities, allowing one to truly experience the islanders' spirit of harmonious coexistence with nature. Ubud, located in the middle of the island, though not by the sea, boasts the natural beauty of a tropical rainforest with its lush green mountains and clear waters.

Service: The service is gentle and attentive, like the natural flora and fauna—unobtrusive yet comforting. The restaurant is good; the breakfast à la carte is excellent. The chef even cuts fruit into small pieces to feed the fish to the children. The spa is more expensive than the smaller shops outside, but worth trying.

Overall, this was the first hotel of my trip, but the experience exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

Property was great. Towels are a bit dated, breakfast a bit smash in portions and always kids in the pool but I enjoyed the stay.

The hotel is not big, with only one swimming pool, but it is very exquisite, with lush tropical plants, and it feels like being in a tropical garden. However, the room only provides two small bottles of purified water a day, and when we asked for more, they said we would check out that day, so no water would be provided, which made us very angry! We could only check out of the hotel thirsty, and the next cheaper hotel provided unlimited bottled water. The price was over 800 per day, and I felt that the cost performance was not high, and the taxi traffic was very congested around, which was a bad experience.

I loved my stay here! The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The cottages were huge and surrounded by a very relaxing garden atmosphere. The massage at the spa was fantastic! The food at the restaurant was delicious. I would definitely go back.
