This was our first Neilson holiday, and on the basis of this, it will not be our last. Before booking, I was a little worried it wouldn't be far enough south for Oct half term sun - I was wrong. Mostly a lovely 23 degrees. But the weather really wouldn't have mattered, because the overall experience was amazing. The accommodation (we me/wife/12yr old daughter) shared one room. It was clean and functional - nobody stays long in their room, so the lack of space really doesn't make a difference. The staff were fantastic. Big shout out to Will/Marcus/Nathaniel from the tennis team. But everybody deserves a shout out; from Frosty (the general manager) all the way down. The cohesiveness stands out. The food was great. Plenty of choice, and all good quality. Speaking to some of the guests, it was clear many had been to a Neilson camp before, and I can totally see why.

As a 17 year old spent a week at the resort, and this being my first time with Neilsons, this was one of the most enjoyable holidays I’ve been on, the whole place is designed with social and active aspects in mind, providing both me , my mate and our parents with numerous optional things to do each day, giving us the opportunity to relax or engage in activities depending on how much of a mood we’re in in the mornings. Tennis was a highlight, with Nathaniel especially being very supportive at improving me so I can become the next Andy Murray. As a whole really the staff were incredible, Nelson the photographer offered great advice and conversation, and especially the kids clubs leaders were brilliant. I met a good group of people at the kids club, and became very close with two, we were never bored really, I would undoubtably say it was thanks to the leaders, so appreciation goes out to three of them: Becca, even when we were being gits she really was lovely and very easy to talk to, Scarlett was incredible too, she was always energetic and conversational, also did the footloose dance with ease (thought I should mention that) lastly Lily, although her ping pong skills were lacking, was also brilliant, I think this was her first time having to deal with a group of our age range and she did an incredible job, a very fun and down to earth person. I truly appreciate what these three brought to the holiday, it would have been a lot more boring without them. As a whole the accommodation was good for me, food, brilliant, I think I ate 3 whole pizzas a day from the buffet, good for the soul but not so good for my massive biceps. as I said before the activities were top notch, and the people running them were all so friendly. my friend and I, including our parents had an incredible time and could not recommend the place enough.

This is our 4th Neilson activity holiday but first to Sardinia. After reading mixed reviews I was slightly apprehensive as we were travelling with first timers on a Neilson holiday. However I needn't have worried . From when we arrived in resort at 10:30 am our villa was ready . Yes they are rustic but the beds were very comfortable. We were in rooms 448 and 449 behind the restaurant with a restricted view but it also meant it was very peaceful. The food was good and varied . Yes some of the restaurant staff are not very dynamic but we never had to wait for drinks. All the activities were well managed and varied . It is hilly but the shorter bike rides to the beach or nearby port are manageable for social cyclists The pizza restaurant at the top of the hill is good and so is La Volpe. We stayed for 2 weeks so hired a car which I would recommend.

A group of 6 of us enjoyed a completely fabulous week here mid September. I don't really know where to start as it was a trip that exceeded all of our expectations. We embraced the activities and got so much out of the trip, even those who were less active normally. Starting the day with a sunrise swim, and then the most wonderful yoga sessions on the outdoor platform with a beautiful tree canopy above us. So good for the soul as well as flexibility! We especially loved kayaking around the bay and on the trip to Boudoni in the sunshine Great cycling and some chilling out too! The accommodation was simple, clean and more than adequate. The shower was top class. Food....exceptional. A huge and varied choice set out in the traditional Italian courses... you don't need to have them all! Lovely fresh fruit and salad, as well as great main courses, pasta, pizza and desserts. Drinks... very reasonably priced. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. A special mention for Lara (yog and fitness... though the whole fitness team were fab! ) and Frostie and his contagious enthusiasm. So amazing all 8 of us have already booked again for next year!

Based on some previous reviews we were a little apprehensive about our trip to Baia de Mori but we could not fault it at all. From the moment we arrived at our departure airport the experience we had was excellent. All the staff in all areas of the resort (and at the airport) were friendly and helpful. This was our first Neilson trip as a couple and we were slightly worried about going somewhere specialising in family holidays as a couple travelling alone but arriving in the 2nd week of September was an ideal time to go and guests were mainly older couples or families with older children. We enjoyed a variety of activities across the week including kayaking, SUP, sailing, fitness classes (aqua being a firm favourite as a bit of fun). Our only complaint was not having enough time to get through them all! Our first experience of a Neilson holiday together was faultless and we can’t wait to return to try out another Neilson resort next year.

My teenage son and I have just returned from a 1 week stay at Neilson Baia dei Mori. We had an amazing holiday. The positives: Stunning location (natural setting with Pine forests, white sand beaches and turquoise sea). Endless activities available to keep us entertained and busy. As a tennis enthusiast I thoroughly enjoyed the tennis programme. The coaches brought “good energy”. They were knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging and passionate. The coaching sessions, social tennis, booze and balls and the tournament at the end of the holiday were all brilliant! We did some water based activities. The morning kayak safari to the beach at Budoni was fun. We stopped at a Cafe on the stunning, wide, white sand beach for breakfast. We tried Wing surfing. I was useless at it but my son got the hang of it and the instructor was both knowledgeable and friendly. We briefly went out on a boat (Bahia) and instructor Sam was also knowledgeable and friendly. I used to sail but don’t so much anymore. The sailing programme looked good. The only negative I could see was a narrow and busy launching area made more difficult with light onshore winds at times which meant it would be difficult to get out into the main sailing area without a tow. As a rusty (and now nervous sailor) I avoided but I could see others thoroughly enjoying sailing, windsurfing, wing foiling etc once out in the open water. Some days it was very windy and only suitable for experienced windsurfers. I’d say if you’re an experienced sailor or windsurfer then the conditions (at times) would be most enjoyable. As for the more novice sailors the lighter wind days / mornings would be ideal. My son enjoyed the cycling. He went out on both the road cycling and E-Bike groups. He visited some amazing places (a Castle up in the hills and a Port / Marina). He told me the cycling instructors and guests were very friendly and they stopped for ice cream and food on both outings. The evening entertainment host (Izzy?) was amazing. She commanded the room as a young adult. She kept the audience both engaged and under control. Kudos to her! Slight negatives: As other tripadvisor posts have commented the restaurant waiting staff are rather slow (or over stretched?). We quickly learned self service was way forward. We brought drinks in from the pool bar. We found and cleared tables if no free clean tables were available. Found our own cutlery and water. Basically we didn’t rely on the staff at all. All they did is clear our dirty plates. If you want a more leisurely dining experience then early arrival and patience are key. Our meals were often rushed (in and out) due to our busy activity schedules so we found a work around. The rooms feel on top of one another. I liken it to an upmarket hippy commune. Our initial room (422) was opposite the kids pool / main pool and near to the pool bar. The noise from the kids pool and the through traffic outside our terrace was unbearable! Luckily the amazing reception s

We absolutely loved it! I had been worried by other reviews when booking for an important (post exams) summer holiday but the whole 2 weeks were fantastic. The area is stunning (as seems to be the whole of Sardinia) The low rise accommodation set in pine forests meant the natural beauty of the area was maintained. Our rooms felt private and very practical with modern bathrooms and a great walk in 'wardrobe'. Everything is close by so no long walk when you forget something. The whole feel is relaxed and friendly. Great not to have aeroplane loads of different people arriving and leaving every day - we made some good friends each week. Dining was wonderful - lots of fresh fish and veggies for me, incredible pizza / pasta / lots of other options for others. Free local bus useful for getting to local town though timekeeping of bus service a bit 'relaxed' We always come to Neilson for the water sports - sailing was great (best Neilson for sailing so far and we have tried most) Some relaxed but competitive racing and generally good breeze. Red sailing was a good chance to refresh asymmetric knowledge and trapeze practice - special thanks to Nim who was great. Lots of windsurfing practice for other family members and I even tried the intro to open water swimming. Jemima gave me the confidence to try my first open water 1Km without worrying I would hold everyone else up. Tennis team all superb - great fun and we definitely made improvements, though I may have left these in Sardinia based on this weeks performance. Aqua at 12.00 was a daily activity whenever I could fit it in. Yoga and Pilates also good. We didn't make it to the bikes but others definitely enjoyed them. Teenagers both happy and parents delighted that no busy nightclubs nearby - just a relaxed 'hanging out on the beach' evening vibe for them after a day of relaxing and activity. We will definitely be back and have fallen in love with Sardegna. Huge thanks to Frosty Charlie and the whole team

Family holiday with 4 adults. Overall, we found a number of positives and negatives with Neilson and this resort. In summary, for the price we paid, I would say it was below par compared to the likes of Robinson and not great value for money. The resort is relatively tired and in need of updating (although I believe there are building restrictions in Sardinia), the food was very average to say the least (certainly comparing to Robinson, Club Med etc.), there was a distinct lack of any decent evening entertainment (apart from the Sardinian evening) From a positive perspective, the tennis coaching team of Luca, Marcus, Ollie etc. were very good and the fitness sessions were also OK The beach was pretty nice although packed with people and a lot of sea grass outside of the main bathing area (where I assume it gets tidied up) Also a number of annoying small things like only one water fountain for the whole resort (at the restaurant), coffee machines out of order frequently in the restaurant (they obviously don’t have enough of them), lots of wasps at mealtimes with no candles to deter them (you could get burning coffee grinds but had to ask) Overall, we had a good time but I consider it poor value for money compared to similar companies and not sure I would use Neilson again

Beautiful island and beach. The hotel is very 'rustic'/tired. Staff are lovely. The Neilson kids club staff especially. Drinks very expensive. Ask to be in a villa away from the pool bar if you have young children as it's very loud late at night with music.

We’ve had the most wonderful week here. The room was spacious and comfortable with air conditioning. The food was simply incredible, varied and delicious, eaten far too much this week! Had a lot of fun on the guided bike routes. Had windsurfing and sailing tuition. Did a guided 2k open water swim. The water is warm and crystal clear. My son had the best time in kids club. Literally can’t fault it. The best holiday ever! We want to come back already
