INCREDIBLE. I went to a few W before but this one is the best by far!!! From the service to the beauty of the place, everything was beyond perfect and better than my expectations. 100% recommend

This is a new opening in Summer 25. It's great. We'd go again. Here are some thoughts: This is a 10 min drive from Porto Cervo. Without a car though, that is an expensive cab ride. Local prices in Costa Smeralda are like major global capital cities and sometimes more. The whole team was super friendly and we always felt welcomed. Hats off to Erica at the front desk, Melinda, Aleksander and all the others in the absolutely fab breakfast room. That room had a super view of the quaint little harbour. A really big thanks for a special present when Liverpool were playing champions league - beers and a wonderful note in my room. Exceptional. Breakfast was fabulous. Wonderful combination of a la carte offerings and buffet. Plus a pasty corner to die for. Our room was great too. The balcony makes a difference. Cleaning service and turn-down were fabulous, along with a little chocolate or sweet gift each night. Pool area was really nice, with wonderful service. We loved the free water, the great towels and the little afternoon treats. There is a very shallow area which is small child friendly. Two black marks though: the constant music. It was too loud, to EDM / bass heavy - I'd say we had an older crowd and some chill / jazz would have better, and it played into the late evening, right below our balcony. Better to have a few small speakers dotted round than the large ones belting out sound. The other black mark was the insanely expensive food by the pool: a coffee was EUR 12, a coke EUR 15, a small glass of wine as EUR 20 and then there was a cover charge of EUR 7 per head, even if all you had was a club sandwich. And then there was some service charge or other on top. This backfires: we went out of our way to limit our consumption, even though we would have liked to indulge more. EUR 28 ix ok for club sandwich with fries and EUR 6 for a coke and maybe 10 for a wine would be ok IMHO. There is a beach club. Of sorts. It is a short golf biggy ride away. Very pebbly beach. Nothing that nice about the "club" area. Not good enough for a 5 Star place. There is no spa either - there was something about massage with the concierge, but it was not promoted. We got a decent price of some EUR 500 vs. rack rate of 800 and as a long-standing Bonvoy / Marriott client, we got an upgrade to a room with a balcony. We played a lot of golf at nearby Pevero. That club does special deals with the two other more upmarket Marriott hotels on the Costa Smeralda, but not or at least not yet with the W. Poltu Quatu is a small hamlet; the hotel, a few apartments, the harbour with a couple of restaurants and a cafe. We were in last two weeks of September and things were closing down in the second week. If we went again we'd go first tow weeks or weeks 2 & 3 of Sept. I'd be back if there was a hotel / golf / spa combo offer.

We live in Roma and visit Costa Smeralda/other parts of Sardegna multiple times/year as the island is one of our “happy places”. On our last trip we decided to try out the new W property...AMAZING! Highlights: — location, design and staff all incredible — contemporary yet still feels very “Sardinian” — fab pool/lounge area, sexy inside bar/lounge — excellent breakfast overlooking a yacht-filled marina — new gym & a nice beach club — property close to many restaurants, beach clubs, etc., so easy to explore surrounding area — gorgeous, bright rooms with great beds — friendly & high service-oriented staff We especially want to thank Erica (beyond lovely!) & Luciano @ the front desk, Santiago @ the beach club and Sofia @ the restaurant (thanks again for the very thoughtful gift…I’m still working on my Italian!), who all made us feel very much at home. We look forward to returning next summer!

From the moment we arrived at W Sardinia, we knew this wasn’t going to be just another hotel stay – it was an experience. Everything, from the design and vibe to the way the staff treated us, felt next level. A very special shout-out to Marta, the assistant to the GM, the true mastermind behind our trip. Her magic made everything run seamlessly. Thanks as well to Walter and Alessandro from reservations for all the pre-arrival prep. Andrea, the W Insider & Concierge team were just amazing – kind, creative, and even managed to help us track down a lost package. The Front Desk was pure warmth, especially its manager Livio and Petro, who made us feel at home instantly. Don’t miss Tanit Restaurant. The F&B manager Andrea created a concept which is truly outstanding, and the team (special thanks to María, Constantino, and our waiters Alfonso & Emanuelle) made sure every detail was perfect. The hostesses, especially Sofia, welcomed us like old friends every single time. Over at the bar, Omar mixed killer cocktails with a smile. And then there’s the unsung heroes – Spiros & Gabriel at the bell desk (always ready with a hand and good vibes), plus Mazza & Nicolas from room service who nailed it every time. The hotel itself is stylish, uniforms sharp, and the energy from the DJ and entertainment set the tone at night. W Sardinia has given the brand a fresh, elevated, and super friendly twist. Huge praise to Antonello the GM and the entire team for pulling this off. You didn’t just make us feel welcome – you made us feel special. We’ll definitely be back – and in the meantime, we’ll be telling everyone that W Sardinia is THE place to be. See you next time! Alberto

Horrible hotel for the value. The port is pretty, the hotel is nice in its exterior. But there is false advertising in terms of the room view, the room amenities are poor, the walls are thin, broken appliances, the curtains are trash/not blackout at all. Service is poor. Definitely definitely not worth what you pay. It’s a $200/night hotel, tops. Check out air bnbs in the area.

Update: the response at the hotel gave to my review was a lie. They did not offer to upgrade my room for free. I actually paid to upgrade to a premium room which was also significantly worse than the photos that they provided on their website. I even offered to pay premium price to downgrade to a lower room status that had a better view, which they declined. The photos provided are misleading, are false advertising, and do not depict the rooms that you will actually receive. “Pool view” means parking lot view, at this hotel. Don’t take my word for it, read the other reviews about this. The disingenuous response from the hotel is additionally concerning, and you should look elsewhere. When I raised this concern with the hotel, they did not offer any help to me, or offer any concessions. They actually hung up on us when we called and raised these concerns. Don’t be fooled. Their service recovery game is as bad as their value.

We were forced to move rooms due to an ant infestation, we received no apology from the staff only excuses and attempts to place the blame on us.

They have since ignored all of my calls and emails following up about the poor service. They also made a number of other mistakes that lead to us not being able to play Padel. Breakfast was poorly managed, essentially you have to get there at the start as they don’t monitor what is finished. Cocktails were awful and took 30 mins to make, we had to send them back as they tasted like pure sugar syrup.

Service from staff was terrible, I’d recommend staying nearby rather than at grand hotel, the area is amazing but this hotel is 3 star at a maximum
