Hotel Medil in Campitello di Fassa

The hotel staff were great. In particular Stefano, who was the ski guide provided by hotel Medil in Campitello was exceptional. Fantastic knowledge of ALL ski areas, guided and advised us where to go each day and also provided us a detailed map showing us how to get to Marmolada on our own. Nothing was too much trouble and was always looking after us on the mountain. Antonio (the barman) looked after us very well in the evenings and Bruno (front desk) always made sure he addressed any requested we had. A fantastic experience overall.

We had a great first visit to the Sella Ronda. The hotel is excellent: well positioned a short walk from the new high capacity Col Rodella lift, good quality compact rooms, good value bar and excellent food. The enormous Sella Ronda system is complicated for the first time visitor but the free ski guiding service offered by the hotel and provided by Stefano is excellent. Stefano is fun to ski with and his knowledge of the system is extensive allowing him to make the best of the available conditions. As well as offering ski guiding 6 days per week he is present in reception each evening to offer advice to guests. We have not been offered a service such as this anywhere previously. Hotel Medil and Stefano are a great combination for an excellent holiday: highly recommended.

We have had a wonderful week at the hotel Medil. The room was a good size and comfortable, although the shower was somewhat tight in terms of its size.
The outstanding feature was the ski guiding. Stefano is a great guide. Over four days he took us round the Sella Ronda as well as to many of the different ski areas and was especially good at taking us to the best area on the day for the weather conditions.
The food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent, a real plus for the hotel

The only negatives are the woeful wifi and the spa area which is too small for the number of guests using it.

I didn't stay in the hotel but went to the spa and had a massage. Everything was AMAZING. The spa is the best of the area and for a very reasonable price after a day of ski, and the massage with Federica was an absolute 10, she's a real expert and the nicest you can ask for. Next time I will stay in the hotel!!

Hotel Medil was hands down our favorite hotel of the entire trip. The location is unbeatable for doing the Sella Ronda and exploring the Dolomiti Superski area, but honestly I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area — even if you’re not skiing.

You can walk to one of the best and newest lifts (Col Rodella - inaugurated in 2026), and even in January we had basically no lines, which was amazing. It’s also in a super convenient spot: walking distance to a supermarket, plus Campitello di Fassa restaurants and cafés, so you can easily move around without needing a car. Another big plus is the parking: they have a large, spacious parking area.

The ski room is next-level: super clean, spacious, and incredibly convenient. It has all the latest technology, a dedicated bench/table for ski servicing, full bathrooms, and even fresh towels available right there. Truly the best ski room we had on this trip.

The rooms were beautiful — warm, comfortable, and very spacious, with incredible views. Everything felt cozy and well maintained. The breakfast was extremely varied and abundant, perfect before a full ski day or even for hiking.

A special mention to the staff: Bruno at the front desk was absolutely outstanding — warm, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. And Antonio at the bar was a legend: always positive, welcoming, and providing 10/10 service.

The bar itself is one of the reasons this hotel feels so special. Every night it becomes a great meeting point where people gather to have a drink, grab something to eat, play cards, or just relax with a laptop. We also tried the pizza from the bar and it genuinely surprised us — one of the best pizzas of the whole trip, and for under €10 per person, it was an incredible value.

The hotel also offers a very complete dinner buffet in the dining area (we didn’t try it), but it looked busy every night. In January 2026 it was around €40 per person.

Overall, an outstanding hotel and I would 100% stay here again.

The hotel is excellent, staff is caretaking and friendly. Food is excellent. Wonderful skiing area. Sauna and wellness are fine.

A Perfect Ski Base in the Dolomites If you are looking for the ultimate ski getaway, look no further. We have finally found our permanent base for all future ski trips! The Dolomites are truly magical, but this hotel takes the experience to an entirely new level. Why We Loved Our Stay • Prime Location: Situated just a 5-minute walk from the gondola, the access to the slopes is unbeatable. You can be at the top of the mountain and starting your day while others are still commuting. • World-Class Dining: The food was simply delicious. Every meal felt like a culinary event, blending local flavors with high-end presentation. • Outstanding Service: The staff are a credit to this establishment. They managed to be both exceptionally professional and incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. • The Spa: After a long day on the slopes, the spa was our sanctuary. It is world-class and the perfect way to recharge your legs for the next day. Skiing Recommendations If you stay here, you are perfectly positioned for some of the best skiing in the world. We highly recommend: • The Sella Ronda: Do yourself a favour and complete the circuit both ways (Orange and Green). Both directions offer unique views and different challenges, and both are equally fun. • The Hidden Valley (Armentarola): Do not miss this! It is one of the most scenic runs in the world, ending with a horse-drawn lift that is a truly unique experience. We left with heavy hearts but full stomachs and great memories. We will definitely be back!

Hotel Medil was perfect as always. Everything met and exceeded our expectations once again. The food was absolutely delicious, with great variety and consistently high quality. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The SPA experience was excellent – relaxing, clean, and exactly what you need after a day in the mountains. A special thank you to Stefano, our tour guide, for his professionalism, friendliness, and great organization, and to Antonio, who makes truly perfect drinks and adds a special touch to every evening. Both of them made our stay truly memorable and beyond expectations. We are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

We just completed our fourth stay at Hotel Medil, and it continues to exceed our expectations. The hotel has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. ​The dining experience is a highlight. The food is consistently delicious, and we especially enjoy the buffet and salad bar, which are always fresh and offer a great variety. ​Cleanliness is a priority; the rooms are always spotless. Furthermore, the entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a seamless stay every time. ​A special mention must go to the ski tours organised by Stefano. He is fantastic-friendly, knowledgeable, and has an expert understanding of the mountains. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone and can’t wait to return!
