Pros
Good amenities- great pool for children with slides, cafes and ice cream, good shop which stocks most things you would need, clean toilets, lots of options for the buffet breakfast
Great location- right on the beach, close enough for regular day trips to Venice
Good and varied entertainment
Nice atmosphere - not too large so everything is very accessible and nicely maintained

Cons
Value for money - very expensive for what you get. We stayed in the gold accommodation. There was very little space inside the mobile home- we have all come away with bumps to the head. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Only towels are changed once a week. No change of linen or cleaning included. Given the price for the week, I would have expected at least one clean and change of linen.

A well-maintained and activity-rich campsite, but overpriced and comes with some unusual rules and limitations. Worth considering — with caution.

Pros:

The landscape design is outstanding — all the plants (bushes, flowers, trees) are healthy and beautifully maintained. excellent job by the designer and gardening team.

Daily activities for both kids and adults. I didn’t try them myself, so I can’t comment on the quality, but they were available all day.

There’s a swimming pool for both children and adults right inside the camp.

Dogs are allowed in the camp.

Good internet coverage and speed — enough for working remotely or streaming movies.

The mobile homes are well-equipped, with an induction stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and all basic kitchen utensils.

Cons:

The biggest issue: the camp is significantly overpriced. Friends of mine stayed in a nearby camp in the similar accommodation during the same period and paid half the price I paid at Vela Blu.

My friends from a nearby camp wanted to visit me and were asked to pay just to enter the camp. That’s unreasonable — the camp should find a way to charge for use of specific facilities for guests, not for simple visits.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach.

It was quite difficult to find dog waste bags while walking with my dog around the camp. At one point, I was ready to raise a concern, as the camp charges for dogs but didn’t seem to provide bags. Eventually, I discovered them—though only at the far end of the camp. It would be much more convenient for dog owners if the bags were made available at multiple, easily accessible locations.

The camp is located in the middle of nowhere — you’ll need a car or a public transport to get to grocery stores, pharmacies or restaurants.

The mobile homes are not soundproof. Loud music from activities often lasts until 11 PM, making early sleep difficult or impossible.

My mobile home had a serious plumbing issue — it often took 30 seconds to 3 minutes for water in the toilet to drain. Flushing became an unpleasant chore.

The indoor air conditioning unit produced a terrible odor, forcing me to choose between hot, fresh air with open windows or cold, smelly air from the AC (and you can’t run the AC with windows open because of sensors).
