When we checked in we had to wait over 30 minutes for the accommodation to be ready. When we got to the accommodation it was a mobile home and not an apartment that we originally booked. There was no bedding and no curtains on the windows or doors. The man was putting them up as we entered the accommodation. We went back to reception to complain that this was not the accommodation that we booked and *********** confirmed twice, and they said it was a booking from ******* and not ***********. I had to show them the confirmation email as proof as they had no other information. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for them to prepare the very last apartment they had available . The receptionist said they would give it to us at no extra cost! As if it was our fault the booking was wrong.

Very clean apartment, nice lake view, peaceful and quiet. Kitchen had all the necessities , AC worked perfectly , wifi was fast.
I had the Terrae Suite and it was cleaned daily.
Luca from reception was nice, polite , professional and respectful .
There is parking on site. Also, a bus station right in front of the hotel.
Taxi to the train station in Desenzano was 12 Euros.
Be aware that this is 10 min walking distance from Desenzano . We loved walking to Desenzano every day, but others may find it inconvenient. We caught the bus from San Anelli ( Porto ) station to Sirmione, Peschiera and Verona.
I hope to return one day, especially when is warmer, so I can enjoy the beach .

We got stranded in Desenzano in an attempt to take a boat trip to Sirmione and owards to Bardolino, but Desenzano is a very nice place to see and stay. The ferries went on strike for the day and we could not continue our plan. Desenzano should be offered a few hours out of a Garda Lake vacation. Really nice!

We recently stayed at this property and were quite disappointed with the overall experience, especially given its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find that our suite was located uphill in a separate set of buildings far from the main area. The property seems to have two distinct sections, and we were placed in the last one — which was incredibly confusing to access, especially with luggage.

When we politely asked to change rooms, the staff was unhelpful and borderline rude, telling us it was not possible without any real explanation. Unfortunately, this lack of hospitality continued throughout our stay. We also asked for help arranging transportation from the hotel to the city, and again, the staff was dismissive and not helpful at all.

That said, I must give credit where it’s due: the natural beauty of the surroundings is truly breathtaking. The views and peacefulness of the area are exceptional. Also, the staff at the restaurant were very kind and welcoming — a much-needed contrast to the rest of the service.

However, for a 4-star hotel, we expected more. Our room wasn’t cleaned during the two nights we stayed, and basic standards of service were simply not met. It’s a shame, because the location has great potential, but unfortunately, the management and service fell far short.

We travelled to Desenzano in May for our 45th wedding anniversary and while it is a very nice peaceful location and the hotel Olivetto is also a very nice place that's where our praise would stop. Firstly the hotel staff were very nice but either they were not well trained in the knowledge they should have of their area...for example we were not told that there was a bus service every 30 minutes 300 metres from the hotel that would take you into the centre ...passing by a shopping centre on the way...however when we enquired about both we were directed towards the taxi service...which was € 10 into town centre and €50 round trip to a shopping centre while both on the bus would have been €01...yes one euro...we only found this out on the eighth day..also we went to the local tourist information office to enquire about going to Venice and were told Venice is not our area...please!!! Venice is one of the most visited cities in the world and an Italian tourist office says "It's not our area". The man...he was Moldovan...that transferred us to and from the hotel imparted more Information in the two trips than we got from the hotel and tourist information. Having said all that .. It is a beautiful place with not a lot to do ..except one is good at booking online...also if you have any difficulty with your mobility then make sure you are in or close to the centre. With its own private beach. Boutique Resort has a variety of accommodation. We stayed in room 1025. It had a lake view and kitchenette and bathroom. Large living space and private garden. Hotel has restaurant, bar and pool. Highly recommended.

Stayed a 10 minute walk from the town which has bars, cafes, restaurants and regular shops. Lovely area. Felt really safe day or night. Was busy when we went due to giro de Italia but that just added to the atmosphere. Definitely recommend. Great Lake views and lots of historical sites
