Beautiful hotel in beautiful forte dei marmi. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Also only negative thing was that the bathtub was way too high to climb into. We went twice to the beach club which we loved

At night, the exterior has a magical silhouette, beautifully lit and elegant. The restaurant is outstanding—my sister and I especially loved the breakfast spread, which was fresh, plentiful, and delicious

We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room to lounge and unpack. Unfortunately, I struggled with the strong scents used throughout the property

I’d like to start by noting that the hotel is scheduled for renovations, which is wonderful news. That said, even in its current state, the property still has a lot to offer

Forte dei Marmi is a beach town where hotels typically have their own cabanas, yet no one explained where the Grand Imperiale’s were located or that food and towels were available there

I have perfume allergies, so I asked for the perfume sticks and flowers to be removed, but the lingering scent remained strong enough that I had to sleep with a mask on

I stayed here years ago on business. Even now, years later, have only the fondest memories of my stay. The food of Italy is my fondest memory due to my stay in this hotel. I am writing this review some 24 years late.

Blissful hotel, great location, warm and welcoming staff, wonderful pool, clean and comfortable room. Within walking distance of the main part of town (15mins) and other restaurants. Staff were attentive and helpful

The property is lovely with lots of shade and a pleasant garden. The staff is very friendly and is always there to help and give advice. The room was spacious and clean, and offered everything we needed.

- Villa Grey beach does not have any designated place before the restaurant zone on the beach to wash the sand off our feet, so, we had to stay with all that stuck sand while eating

The hotel located near the sea, is situated in the '40th old private villa. There is only a few rooms inside and a very friendly owner.

If you are in the area, this is a good choice. The breakfast is good and the place is bright. There are only a few rooms, but this is common in Europe. It is close to the beach and several good restaurants.

Be careful with rooms located opposite the elevators. There's a service entrance nearby, so it can be quite noisy.

Bikes to lend are free, but most of them more or less broken :) Wifi also free and running well. Free private parking however is a real pro in the area. And sea view from the balconies that have it really great

Very kind staff, we used their agreement with the beach. For parking, they gave us a pass for the blue lines in front of the hotel for 10 euros a day instead of 24 as per the public parking meter

I’ve been travelling for three months and this is probably the best place I’ve stayed in. Room is updated and renovated. Fantastic view of the beach and sea. Great restaurants right out the front door of the hotel

The room's furnishings are a little dated, but functional, there is a telephone and a TV, the minibar was empty, but given the season these things are not essential

I would have preferred the coffee made at the bar and not the one from the machine that dispensed cappuccinos and hot chocolate. The price of the room was very good. However satisfied and would happily return!

Just behind the hotel are bus stops with frequent (and cheap) buses running the Viareggio to the east and Pietransanta to the west. We had a lovely family holiday there for the week and would highly recommend
