Villa Grey in Forte dei Marmi

Absolutely disappointing experience. We have been here a year ago and loved the place, the service unfortunately has gone down. The manager (Fabio)of the restaurant was absolutely rude. We were sitting at table were there was loud music blasting from a neighboring table. We asked politely if we could be moved to a different table. The waiter said he would have to ask the manager. After talking to the manager he didn’t give us his answer but continued as nothing was happening assuring us they asked the neighboring table to turn down their computer games. ( side note we are at a Michelin Star restaurant and loud computer games are tolerated) We had to ask multiple times to be moved to a different table even though there were 5 table empty and 3 remained empty till the end of the night.
We were told that they can’t call the police on people who playing loud music, so we said at this point for the fourth time that we understand and we don’t expect that, we just want a different table. The manager refused again, and said we could change after our pasta dish. So we took our plates and went to one of the empty tables. The staff then granted us the new table. The manager afterwards decided to ignore us and left his staff that didn’t know how to behave anymore without guidance. The staff at least apologized where as the manager didn’t feel that that was necessary. We had reservations for another night which we cancelled.
The food was good but unfortunately also no comparison to last year. The waiter arranged a sort of discount, but the mere fact that the manager really didn’t see anything wrong in his behavior was very disappointing.

It was terrible.
1.) rooms are tiny
2.) rooms are dirty
3.) the doors aren’t soundproof at all I couldn’t sleep
4.) no door to the bathroom so when my husband wanted to go I had to sleep with. Light on
5.) sand in the sheets
6.) bad WiFi which disconnected all the time
7.) bad staircase
8.) door always open so bad security
9.) key card didn’t work
