Hotel Magnolia in Vieste

Nice hotel, close to the beach and not too far from the lovely town Vieste

The hotel is located among olive trees about 800 meters from the sea (a 10-15 minute walk). Other hotels on the same street offer a free shuttle, but the walk is actually doable without much effort. The exterior could be more well-maintained; for example, it's a shame not to take advantage of the outdoor space in front of the pool: umbrellas are always closed, leaves are everywhere. In the evening, it could be pleasant for guests to enjoy a drink sitting outside (it would also generate additional revenue for the hotel).
The small elevator is very convenient, especially for luggage.
Our room was small, simple, clean, with sufficient linens and detergent, and the daily cleaning and tidying was perfect. Air conditioning and a balcony are provided.
Wi-Fi is available on every floor, but not working.
Bedding is worn (sheets and napkins have a few holes, and the dining room chair covers are torn from wear), no shelves or countertops in the bathroom, and the refrigerator leaked.
The entire staff, from the front desk to the dining room to the housekeepers, was extremely kind, welcoming, and ready to provide any information requested.
Breakfast offered a variety of sweet options, less savory.
We chose half-board, so we ate dinner at the hotel every evening: a different surprise appetizer every evening, generous daily selections of entrees (perhaps too much, you're forced to leave something behind, which is a shame), tasty dishes, simply cooked, carefully presented, and with much-appreciated references to the local culinary culture. Fruit and dessert were served buffet style. The table was provided with homemade extra virgin olive oil, which can also be purchased in tins to take away.
After staying in several 4-star hotels from north to south of Italy, I think the Hotel Magnolia is an excellent 3-star hotel, but not a 4-star. This isn't a negative, because we had a wonderful time, but it must be said that there is a world of difference between this 4-star and others I've already visited.
Agreement with Lido Oasi: umbrella and 2 sunbeds for 28 euros per day (we were in the third-to-last row), fair price, very well-organized beach.

The room was decent and very clean, with a comfortable terrace and a well-functioning bathroom. There's a convenient elevator, a nice little pool in the back, and indoor parking (not for everyone), but they have another nearby. Breakfast is self-service, with a decent variety of sweet and savory options, but don't expect the savory fare of a grand international breakfast. The staff is available 24/7, very friendly and helpful. A 7-8 minute walk takes you to the beach, which is very beautiful and well-equipped, where you can eat, drink, and listen to music. The loungers are comfortable, and there's plenty of space between each umbrella. I highly recommend it, especially considering the price.
