Hotel Scialara in Vieste

Very bad hotel, paid a lot for their best room which is horrible except for the bed which is okay. No hospitality, no nice vibe, only temp people with as it seems, nothing to do. No garage which we paid 25 euro per day for. No luxury, breakfast is bad, coffee machine is broken, photos is not how the hotel looks like. Bar is not open, swimming pool is there but not enough parasols. They try to get rich doing nothing..worst money I ever spend in 30 years coming to Italy

The hotel is located near the sea but far from the city center. It's a fairly large property with a somewhat dirty and leaky pool, but it's there, and there's plenty of greenery. The biggest flaw is the restaurant, which is managed by a less-than-skilled manager, and the waiters don't understand our language. If you're traveling with small children, avoid this place because they won't heat up your milk and pastries! From the restaurant, you can hear shouting from the kitchen next door. The sea is beautiful, with very well-equipped beach clubs.

I do not feel like giving more than 2 stars one for the location and the other for cleaning even if today I was not able to take a shower due to the lack of towels in the reception at 14.00 they justified themselves by saying that it was the fault of the laundry on Google Maps say free parking and then you arrive and you have to pay € 10 per day in the room there were not even hangers the roller shutter that overlooked the terrace could not be lifted for a quarter the hairdryer in the bathroom did not work I'm sorry but not i will set foot more in this hotel and i will not even recommend it i am disappointed in the lack of professionalism of the hotel which is only demanded money without giving good service ah i was forgetting the pool was closed

Pros: location, clean, nice staff trying to accommodate and compensate for several deficiencies in the hotel.
Cons: in one word, CHEAP! Despite we requested a twin, they gave us a box room with two beds arranged as twin and no space to split them (and with a shower literally 50x50). They ultimately changed us to a larger one... Again with the same beds arrangement! The hotel has been recently refurbished but clearly with cheap shortcuts and neglecting basic requirements: no hooks at the entrance, the only small plastic shelf in the bathroom is half full of their "accessories" (soap bar, toilet roll and plastic cup) and there is no space anywhere else to put our toiletries. 1 ONLY PRODUCT in the shower that nominally functions as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all in one... Barely worth for the shower.
Miserable breakfast, very little choice, salty one is almost inexistent, consisting of cheap ham and cheese; and apparently 1 croissant only for each customer, Coffee only from automatic machine and no decaff option, let alone soy milk. I could keep going...
I think this could be almost acceptable for less than €100 top, but I think it's shocking considering we paid €200/ night at the beginning of august. I spent less in Manhattan for a much better hotel!
I would not recommend and will never come back!!
