The hotel is a bit quirky in terms of decor, but the service—all delivered by ever-present proprietor Mateo—is simply outstanding. The breakfast is out of this world, as are the evening cocktails. We had in-house dinner once and it was also excellent. The ski lift with access to the Sella Ronda is a short bus ride away. A great experience all around, even without a wellness area.

Wonderful little hotel 10 minutes from the centre but with a bus stop outside the door. Cosy, spacious room - mine was a single but had a double bed. Fantastic breakfast and incredibly helpful owner. Looking forward to returning.

The hotel and owner Matteo lived up to all the great reviews posted by others! It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, easy walk down the hill to restaurants (and a hair salon!) We prefer small, family hotels with a bar and restaurant. Here they serve a wonderful breakfast including fresh fruit and yogurt, fresh local baked goods, made to order eggs and bacon and so much more. The fried eggs are delivered to the table in a sizzling hot pan! The bar and lounge are cozy and decorated with wood carvings made by Matteo’s grandfather, as well as his vintage record collection and memorabilia.

We loved Villa Martha! Matteo was an amazing host and great chef. The junior suite was roomy and had incredible mountain and valley views and a nice balcony/deck The decor was iconic, fun and had a Tyrolian feel. It was a truly warm and welcoming, old style bed and breakfast inn. We could walk to the Col Reiser Gondola and went for one of the most beautiful hikes we’ve ever had up at the top of the gondola. There’s a great transit system to get around Val Gardena with close by bus stops. I’d definitely go back there again.

Was there in connection with watching the Alpine World Cup races in Val Gardena. Incredibly cozy small hotel, with a very pleasant Matteo as host. Served you what you wanted for breakfast and could conjure up delicious small dishes for the evening.

Villa Martha is a beautiful B&B filled with art, a comfortable lounge for after-dinner drinks, and the best breakfast spread we've seen in Europe. It's hosted by the wonderful Matteo (who also mixes the drinks and creates the delicious breakfasts), and located in a scenic part of the Dolomites, where the view out your flower-covered balcony features mountains, green fields with sheep and goats, and a mountain stream.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The beds and bedding are so comfortable and the hotel itself is SO eclectic. I loved the vibe. Family fun. And AMAZING breakfast. Highly recommend

Matteo, the owner, was the most accommodating person a hotel could have. He was very helpful in providing suggestions for excursions, he served our delicious breakfast which had everything you could want and went out of his way to help. What a guy!! The hotel is like it says, vintage, but it had a nice charm to it with lots of woodwork. Very quiet inside. I would advise that there is not an elevator for people who have walking issues and if you do not catch the bus back to the hotel, the walk uphill is a little intense in the heat. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel and at the bottom of the hill is where you catch the bus to Ortesi and other areas to ride the gondola up to the Dolomites. Also, most hotels do not have Air conditioning however you can leave the window open to get some night air. Water pressure was awesome and rooms were spotless clean. Thank you!

We don’t normally stay in smaller B&B’s but are so glad we took a chance on this one. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast is one of the best we have ever experienced. The owner of the hotel does a fantastic job, and the atmosphere created truly enhanced our trip. We hope to be back!
