Hotel Alpenrose in Arabba

Great place for a ski vacation. There is a direct access to the ski slopes and they have a big ski room with boot dryers and ski racks.
We spent couple of nights at the hotel in February in a quad room. The room was spacious enough for four of us (two adults and two kids). Breakfast was included and the buffet was great.
The hotel location gives you a quick access to the ski slopes and you can do the Sella Ronda or go to Marmolada glacier by hopping on the chair lift down from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel next to the slopes, unfortunately when we visited the wasn’t much snow so returning with the skies was a bit of a hassle other than that it’s very close to the Burz lift downhill . The food (half board) was a wonderful 5star surprise everyday and of high quality. Staff was very polite. The only negative I have is that every night we were offered water that was charged 4 euros, I think that’s a bit too much for tap water. Spa facilities were basic. A bit expensive overall but food and service kind of made up for it. I would visit again.

Very nice hotel with a homely feel, spa consists of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. However it was only realised that to park here you will be charged €10 per night.

It’s a wonderful hotel in a beautiful town that’s located right in the middle of the Dolomites. You can visit hikes in the western and eastern Dolomites. The hotel itself is top notch with great rooms and attention to detail.

The spa is incredible with a sauna, hot tub, steam room and an option to pay for a massage.

Downstairs, there is an incredible restaurant with a daily hotel menu that varies as well as a fixed menu for the Michelin restaurant (it’s the same kitchen) that uses local ingredients. Breakfast is the same daily but was great.

Our family visited Italy and stayed in several amazing hotels, but this one stood out as the best. The only drawback we noticed was the higher price compared to other options, but we all agreed that it was worth it.

Highlights:
SPA: The spa exceeded our expectations, and we regretted only visiting it once. It was a fantastic experience.
Location: The hotel is ideally situated near beautiful mountains, offering stunning views from the room and balcony.
Rooms: The spacious and well-equipped rooms were a delight. Although we didn’t use the kitchen, having it was a nice option. The two restrooms were also very convenient.
Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant.
Activities for Kids: Our children loved the evening fires, as well as the ping pong and table soccer.
Food: The food was generally good, with a daily-changing menu that kept us excited for dinner. While not every dish was to our taste, we all enjoyed the variety. The salad bar in the evenings was a particular highlight and shouldn’t be missed.

Room for Improvement:
Ice Rink: The hotel offers a free ice rink with provided skates, but since the surface isn’t actual ice and lacks slipperiness, our kids didn’t enjoy it. The concept is great, but it didn’t live up to expectations and could be better utilized.

Cons:
Cost: The hotel is more expensive than the alternatives we considered, though we felt the higher price was justified by the quality.
Drink Prices: Be aware that drink prices during dinner are quite steep.
Accessibility: The hotel’s high altitude means the drive can be lengthy, and the colder weather might be challenging in certain seasons, though we found it refreshing during summer.

Overall: We highly recommend this hotel, but keep in mind that it’s on the pricier side.

The food, views, cleanliness, wellness center, room size and kind professional staff were all outstanding. We came from California to cycle and explore the Dolomites and stayed 4 wonderful days. I highly recommend Alpenrose as the chef is excellent as well as artistic - all the delicious food fresh and beautifully served. They easily helped us with special requests like bike storage and finding transportation as well as fun things to do. We enjoyed meeting the other guests at meals as well as the Sunday happy hour they put on. We look forward to returning!

We loved it! Nice ambient, clean and big rooms, delicious food, very friendly stuff, wellness center after long hike. What more to wish for. One of the best vacation i had. Surely coming back next year 👌
