Hotel Italia in Canazei

I stayed here as a solo traveler with half board. The room was a bit dated, and the bathroom could use an update, but it was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—my parents, who were staying at a nearby hotel, were able to join me for dinner every night. The food was excellent and easily one of the highlights of my trip. Breakfast was solid with everything you’d expect.

The location near the piste was fantastic. Aside from the room being a bit dated, the only downside was the lack of soundproofing, as I could hear other guests returning from après-ski at night.

Such a lovely, friendly hotel in an excellent situation in Canazei. The bedrooms were comfortable and very clean, the food was so lovely and the staff made the whole experience welcoming and fun. A small hotel with a big heart. They have a boot and ski room but we used the lockers by the lift so we didn’t have to walk in boots, thoroughly recommend that. And thoroughly recommend this hotel

The owner manager Alessandro and all his staff could not have been more helpful and attentive during our stay. 2 of our party of four had special dietary requirements (Gluten and lactose intolerant) and for every meal they were offered appetising variants/ alternatives and the staff were extremely attentive to their requirements. The chef provided great variety and choices of courses each evening.The overall impression is one of a very happy professional team who really want their guests to have a great experience. The hotel is very well located for a ski holiday. The Canazei - Belvedere Gondola is a short 300 metre walk (downhill!) but one can also avail of a small train (15 min frequency-5 min journey)outside the door for €9 for the week. One can ski back to within 150 metres (downhill) of the hotels ski / boot room by taking either run 6 into 6b or 11 into 6b - both nice forest runs. Overall a great ski holiday experience combining the best of hospitality and location!

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Italia. The staff make you feel taken care of and like part of their family in a very Italian way. The food was generous and delicious, our room was recently renovated with amazing mountain views.

We stayed a week at Hotel Italia for our skiing holiday. It's a lovely, friendly little hotel. The service and the staff were all excellent. Our room was large with a beautiful view over the town and mountains. The bathroom was a little dated and could have done with an upgrade. Meals on the whole were excellent, so much food we could hardly move! Breakfast buffet with a decent choice, both hot and cold. Evening meals you chose the previous day, except for a couple of tasting menu days which were set menus.
The location was excellent in the centre of the old town. Many bars and restaurants close by. Although it's not too far from the bubble lift, it takes a while in ski boots and carrying skis! Uphill on the way back too! We discovered you could rent a ski locker next door to the bubble which was the best 40 euros we've ever spent!
We had a fantastic time in Canazei and at the Hotel Italia and are hoping to be back next year.

Fantastic family run hotel. Food, service and staff brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend anyone to stay there. Definitely would return ourselves.

For such a modest hotel this was an outstanding experience. The food was imaginative, varied, and delicious. Service was warm hearted and attentive. All staff were polite and friendly. Good standard of cleanliness. Highly recommend

Great family hotel with amazing food! The breakfast has everything and the dinners are best in class! Friendly service and clean nice rooms. 350 meters downhill to Belvedere cabin. There is also i small trainbus passing every 15 min for 9 € per week. The slope that brings you home is just 150 m away (downhill). Perfect!!!

It may sound odd but after deciding on a resort our first two considerations are food and being close to the slopes. Let’s start with food - and it was sensational. We love Italian food and this was the best we have had on an Italian skiing holiday and that is high standard. It was absolutely superb and we will leave it at that otherwise I could go on an on. The Belvedere lift was an easy 5 minute walk. So not a ski in ski out hotel location but not a problem although coming home down run 6 did bring you just a 2 minute walk downhill to the hotel from the end of the run. The waiting staff at breakfast and evening meal were so so friendly and helpful and easy to deal with as were staff on the bar and reception. The cleaners were always smiling and friendly. Rooms were cosy and warm . What else do you want ? A brilliant stay
