Camelia Rooms Venice Guesthouse in Mestre

We hard a great stay at the hotel. We booked a room for 4 nights and everything was great. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff came every day, made the bed, changed the towels of needed etc. The breakfast was simple but good, ham, cheese, pastry, eggs, coffee, tea and juice. The room is big enough but the bathroom is a bit small. No big deal though. The walls are indeed thin but you can't hear the noise from outside, only the neighbors and if you are lucky they won't bother you. The staff is very friendly and helpful, our plane landed early in the morning and they let us check in at 12 o clock. Before we came here we read that there were some problems in the area with what they called "gangs". We didn't see them, just regular people on the streets at night. We saw some dubious people in a park one evening, drinking whiskey but it was far from the hotel and we discovered that the dubious people were Romanian like us and they were in fact very friendly. The location is really close from public transportation and you can easily get anywhere you want, also there are shops and restaurants nearby. We have some suggestions though. 1 anti slip mats in the bathroom. 2. Maybe a table and some chairs in the smoking area ( we asked the reception staff for some chairs tonight because we wanted to stay outside for a bit longer and they were very kind and gave us some very comfortable chairs). All in all a great experience. Thank you so much!

The location is perfect, there are some lovely restaurants nearby and it's only a 2-3 minute walk from the bus and train stations. The room is basic but really comfortable and one of the best rooms I've stayed in within that price range. The staff were lovely and helpful, happy to answer any questions we had and point us in the right direction.

Comfortable but basic, what more can you ask for of a budget hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the older chatty man, possibly the manager/owner. Breakfast has lots of selection and just what you need to start the day off. Only real criticism would be the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Easy and quick to get to Venice by bus, with stop just around the corner.

A good place to stay. I stayed here for tw days and staff are very friendsy and helping.

Good breakfast, simple but has a lot to offer, the rooms we stayed at had very small and not really comfortable bathrooms
