Residence Le Fontane in Villasimius

I travelled to Villasimius, Italy in August 2023. When I checked in inside the Residence Le Fontane I asked to pay 315 euros, 115 euros cleaning and utility and 200 euros breakage deposit (that was not stated when I booked the hotel in *******). The room was clean, but no towels, no air con (temperature outside plus 29-30 degrees). When I refused to pay at the beginning and asked for explanation, the receptionist (the older one) told me if you don’t like it go away!!! Only one good attitude was younger receptionist who provided all information regarding the door lock and provided my the key upon my arrival as I arrived very late at 00.40 on the 16.08.23. He tried to be helpful and explain the additional cost. So 200 euros is the breakage deposit which suppose to be return to my account… The restaurant also not working inside the hotel as they not going to open the restaurant for 1 person (me), so you will need to find food by yourself the city. Luckily the Coop shop was close by. Despite all the negative things happened I still will go back to Italy, but to another hotel. I quite like this country.

If your looking for a relaxing place to stay with your family, look elsewhere. From the moment we checked in the unhappy man behind the counter was already telling our children to talk quietly as people were asleep.. (it was lunchtime) the pool area of the hotel is lovely but if you think you can relax and make any noise at all, think again.. we witnessed the staff telling older children to stop talking loud at 3pm.. they were just talking! The same unhappy older man who works behind the counter yelled at me for my children falling over outside of his apartment and told me to control them.. sorry that my child fell over and was crying. This hotel is run by a boys club and needs some females at reception to give a nice warm welcome. We have never stayed somewhere that made us feel so unwelcome. The young man behind the front counter and the lifeguard are both very friendly, and sadly that is where it stops. The internet does not work in the rooms, the verandah is so small you cannot sit on it with the clothes line out.. nor with the air conditioner on as it blows hot air on you. The air conditioning also leaks down the wall and our fridge was leaking on the floor making it very slippery. All staff seem to live onsite and the slightest noise they poke their head out the door as of you have disturbed them.

As soon as we arrived they were taking 260 euros from us for electricity, gas and cleaning, we were not informed of this until after we booked!! Staff were very pleasant and helpful, common areas inc pool also very good, unfortunately that's where it ends The air conditioning is only in the front room so for any benifit you have to leave the bedroom door wide open. (not good when grown up daughter is staying too) The air condition extractor is located on the very small balcony pumping out very hot air making the area unusable unless you turn the air con off (too hot for that) No towels provided, not even a tea towel but they expect you to clean the kitchen (even though they take 80 eoros for final cleaning) so we had to buy them, just 1 toilet roll provided so we had to buy them too. Room was described a 1 bedroom with a sofa bed in the front room, there was no sofa bed, just a bed with a wooden shelf behind it leaving nowhere to sit and relax There are many many issues with this hotel and I would not reccomend anyone staying here without knowing all this info, we would certainly never stay here again

The worst condition I have ever seen. My fault, because I did not check additional information about accommodation. But in 2023 I did not accept so bad rules. We arrived to reception and I was told to pay extra amount 110euro for gas, water, electricity and cleaning. We had reservation only for to nights. Other think the bath towels are not included, I have to rent them. What make me crazy...I paid for room, I had to pay extra many for energy-cleaning and I had to pay deposite, plus rent a bath towels. At the end I was told the deposite will be unlock just if the room will be clean. Receptionist not really nice person at all. Told to me, if I would make reservation directly or via booking I would have much better condition. Apartman was nice and clean, but those rules and conditions make me crazy. Never met before and I travel quite often.
