Cala Luas Resort in Cardedu

Not worth the price — disappointing on many levels
We paid €472/night for a dark, bare room that felt more like a bunker. No balcony/outdoor, no charm, poor/none Wi-Fi, and a rickety bunk bed that wasn’t even safe for kids (even the ’safety rail’ was loose and fell to the floor).
The hotel is full of hidden fees: for ex you have to pay to use the small pool — €7 per person/day. Same fee applies even if you just want a quick dip. Sunbeds at the private beach are then included in that fee but only 2 (even if you are paying for 4p).
The buffet (€98 for our family) was underwhelming. The food was uninspired and we are not a picky family. Only water or wine was incl, not even soft drinks for the kids. Breakfast was equally poor — ex just bananas and kiwis as the ’fresh fruit’ -no melon, pineapple etc. The machine coffee wasn’t even drinkable.

It was clean, and I guess the staff tried, but this is far from even a poor 4-star standard. Much better options elsewhere for this price - The hotel is loud, the beach is rocky, and the water gets deep immediately.

We asked for a refund for at least the last night/nights and check out early - but were refused to get any money back by manager. They did give us a superior room with 4 beds on the floor. Small, but worked. And that room had WiFi and a functional shower.

There are far better options available — and at better prices at a better location, this was so off

We were there in July 2025. There was a Fire in close proximity to the Resort which scared us. Since that fire, the wifi in the part of the Resort more to the back (across the street), where most of the people reside, was off. When we reported that to the receptionist, she mentioned that we were not supposed to get wifi based on the room booked (4 people, half board) + about 28€ a day of „club card“(about 300€ extra considering our stay). We are careful travellers with decades of international travel Experience and we would have noticed if anything Like That would have been mentioned when Booking. The result of that is that we spent more than extra 100 Euros of unplanned Internet Costs (Not for TikTok or Instagram , but for loading travel maps, Looking for fuel stations and other practical essential usage for a Family of 4, which in our case included also the search for pediatric medical emergency service. Animation staff appeared not very motivated (with only a few exceptions i.e. Alessia, a true professionist). Kids activty did Not Seem very exciting and Kids were mostly sitting during those activities. Play room in a sorry state. Overall Not Tragic but I would not recommend.

Every night the most awful music I’ve ever heard was coming from this place.
