We recently visited Masseria San Paolo Grande with high expectations, given its beautiful setting and reputation as a high-end destination. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was deeply underwhelming. Two of our dishes fell short: The beef dish was tasteless and lacked seasoning - we had to add salt ourselves and even requested some from the staff. Another meal arrived missing several of the ingredients listed on the menu. When we raised these concerns with the manager, he simply said “sorry” and suggested we speak directly to the chef - something I didn’t expect as a guest at this level of venue. We also highlighted the issue to the reception afterward and were met with a brief “ok, sorry” without any offer to make things right. Sitting near the kitchen didn’t help either - the back door was left open, compromising the overall ambience. Given the premium positioning of this masseria, the experience was disappointing and did not match the standard they project. I sincerely hope they take this feedback to heart and work on elevating their hospitality to match their setting.

Upon arrival our hopes were high, very nice & beautiful accomodation… We visited the area for 2,5 weeks whilst staying in another hotel, but went for dinner here for our last evening. However: - +2 hours for an appetizer? - a lot of excuses, but never solutions - arrogant staff And to top it of, have a look at the picture of our main dish: this is how they presented a tomahawk for 3 people… A joke, but above all a disgrace! The other 3 main courses were below standard as well. So homeward with an empty stomach and to top it off, as a last answer from the manager on duty: “It’s okay that your last evening in Puglia was ruined, because I know that normaly our service is not like this…” Well thank you very much 🤡 Doesn’t help us as a paying customer. Problems can always arise, but it’s how you respond and resolve these issues as a hospitality professional. Go to Ceglie / Ostuni / Cisternino / … and choose a decent meal at an Osteria with friendly staff over an expensive decor & restaurant-amateurs.

This is just one of the most perfect places we have ever been. We celebrated our wedding here over three days, and it was perfect. The staff are kind and always helpful. Martino, Giorgio, and Germana in particular were absolutely wonderful. The grounds are breathtaking, so many of our guests repeatedly told us the setting blew them away. The food was amazing, from what I could tell, all the ingredients were in season and sourced from the masseria itself, and you could tell in the freshness of the food. Both the rehearsal and reception dinners were absolute triumphs in quality. We are so thankful to the entire team and fully recommend them to other couples looking for a wedding venue or just looking for a place to stay.

Beautiful property, amazing and friendly personnel, and the chef is incredibly talented. No need to leave the resort if you don't want. If you do, perfectly located between Ostuni and Cisternino for a great day trip.

Best serene place I’ve ever stayed at! We were there for our honeymoon and our expectations were massively exceeded. I felt at peace the moment I stepped into the masseria. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff is great, and the dogs (Uma and Tom) were the best!! I even shed a tear when I left. Make sure to book the cooking class experience. You get to harvest, make bread and pasta, and eat your final product! We’ve already decided to come back next year and I can’t wait.

We fell in love with the Masseria! Everything about this place from the grounds to the people was perfect. The staff were all so special and made this place truly feel like home! Organic everything and stunning landscape. We stayed here before visiting our wedding venue and will highly recommend our guests stay at this location before or after our wedding next year! We recommend all the activities from wine and olive oil tasting to cooking classes! Nick was ABSOLUTELY stellar! We will be back next year as well!

The Masseria was by far our favorite part of our trip last fall. (I am embarrassed I never reviewed until now). From the moment we arrived until the moment (sadly) we had to leave, it could not have been better. The staff, our room, breakfast and dinner dining experience, the surroundings, even visiting the animals, everything was perfect. A highlight was the cooking class - highly recommend! And we even brought home some of their wine and olive oil! Could not have been better.

We recently had our wedding at the Masseria. From us choosing to us celebrating our special day, the service we received was exceptional. We got to visit the Masseria on multiple times with the lead up, and every time felt just as special as the first. When it came to our wedding day, the staff were so attentive, the food, well what can I say it was everything we had dreamed of. All of our guests complimented us on the food selection and quality! If you are thinking about getting married at the Massaria, we would recommend utilising Germana (wedding planner) she is beyond amazing, she handled everything for us and allowed us to enjoy the whole process. We cant leave out the drinks, the wine, the prosecco and spritz kept our guests hydrated and it just kept flowing. We were lucky enough to have a pool party on day 2 of the wedding celebrations and again it did not disappoint, the panoramic views and relaxing pool was exactly what you need to enjoy additional time with friends and family. All we can say is everyone at the Massaria made our day even more special and perfect and we are so thankful to have celebrated our wedding day with them. Final words are to Sophie the french bulldog, well we loved having Sophie (and the other dogs) plodding around the Masseria, giving us cuddles and just making the whole place feel very homely and familiar. Thank you to the team at the Masseria, we cant wait to book and come and stay on our anniversary, see you soon x

This hotel / farm is in a peaceful setting - tranquil- escapism. The staff are extremely caring not sure on management? But basically it’s not up & ready yet ….the pool was closed( noisy jet washing ) …first morning no hot water … no kettle in room .. seating outside for breakfast was limited & shoddy .Shower flooded bathroom so we got a replacement raffia mat which came with a scorpion! Luckily we spotted it . Beware ordering Poached Egg - we got charged extra 12 euros JUST FOR EGG Fried / boiled/ scrambled is apparently ok - but poached is extra !!!!

A genuine 15th century masseria - that’s a rare find in an era of just reconstructed spaces. A truly enchanting place. Relaxing, peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle. The farm to table cuisine was a real highlight - we actually witnessed the chef harvesting eggplants from the garden and then they appeared on our plates in the most amazing handmade veggie dishes ever tried. Also the organic homemade jams at breakfast were divine. Already feeling nostalgic and wish to come back soon
