La Carcara in Otranto

Thanks to Gaetano and Carmen our stay was wonderful. They treated us as family members and are very helpful. The location is quite and not far from centre. Food is amazing and dinner is not to be missed. The rooms and surroundings are nice and clean, pool is large and well kept.
Would greatly recommend this place.

Our stay at Farmhouse La Carcara in Otranto was nothing short of amazing. The bungalow we stayed in was located in a perfect spot, offering a peaceful and picturesque environment that allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the region.

The owner, Gaetano, was incredibly polite, welcoming, and cool. The hospitality made us feel right at home and added a personal touch to the experience.

One of the highlights of our stay was the food. Everything we tasted was made from their own organic production, and it was simply some of the best traditional Italian cuisine we have ever had. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, making every dish a delight. We had the opportunity to try many different Italian traditional dishes, all prepared with home-grown products. It was an unforgettable culinary experience.

Breakfast was also fantastic, offering a traditional Italian selection with a variety of homemade cakes to choose from. Every morning felt like a treat, with something new and delicious to start the day.

All in all, our stay at La Carcara was a truly special experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian hospitality and amazing food.

We enjoyed our stay at the farm so much! there is a pool, chickens, cats and a huge, friendly dog Max. We stayed at the two bedroom house just next to the reception and we had plenty of room there for our family of four. AC was working fine and everything was very clean. The family running the business is a real big Italian one and they were the most graceful hosts.

The location is also good, you can bike to some pretty famous beaches from there, Like Alimini or Basia Turchi in 25min and get to the town of Otrento in 6 minutes.

Last, but not least- THE FOOD. Might just be the best we had at our Apulia trip- the freshness, the taste, all made from local ingredients! Make sure to get half board when you stay here, dinners are exquisite.

My wife and I spend one week in this agriturismo. The room are very cozy for a family, clean and tidy. We was impressed that they came every day to clean room and change the sheet. We chose half bord, breakfast and dinner absolutely brilliant, at breakfast you can find every day hand made fresh cake and for dinner superb 3 course meal, starter it's a must. The agriturismo is very well located just 5 minutes by car to Otranto and 15 minutes from Alimini where you can find stunning beach. Special thanks goes to Gaetano and all family members that are making fantastic job running this place. Overall good value for money.

What an amazing place! We just left la carcala and I highly recommend this place to everyone. The bungalow was clean and cosy. The atmosphere over there it's perfect, you feel like at home. Breakfast really big range of sweet and salty cakes. The dinner was tasty, traditional food, great quality and huge portions.
If we need to come back to Puglia, we would get back here for sure.
