Amazing room (had room with jacuzzi), nice staff. Would be nice if they have free shuttle, because it's forbidden to go by car to the hotel. For taxi they charging 15eur

We absolutely loved our stay. Very attentive before our arrival, arranging our parking and shuttle to the hotel. Once at the hotel the staff was so kind and friendly and offered recommendations. The room itself was better than expected and the buffet breakfast had a great selection. Best of all, it was quiet at night allowing us to actually get a good nights sleep.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Matera
Beautiful property. Rooms with an extraordinary view. Shower is amazing and the bed very comfortable. The private spa is super cool. Delicious breakfast. We had an amazing stay and hope to be back one day. Thanks to Ivana, Samir and Mario for a wonderful experience at Cenobio hotel.

The actual hotel/room didn't quite live up to the photos or descriptions; it definitely wasn't the cave-style depicted but rather quite modern. Located on a hill, the hotel is impossible to find using GPS. We had to call the front desk, and it took a long time for them to understand and send someone to collect us. Be prepared for many stairs. If you plan to stay here, I'd strongly advise against bringing much luggage. The air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly loud; at night, it sounded eerily like ongoing construction work. The view from the window was also quite plain, which might have been due to the room's orientation.

For a four-star hotel, the room facilities are not adequate. More tableware and space for placing items could be provided. Because you need to walk in SASSI, the breakfast is great.

Amazing hotel with cave like design, super clean room, the only drawback is we needed to carry the luggage up the hotel as it’s located slightly up the hill, the hotel staff was very helpful to have helped, it was worth the walk.
