Hotels on first line in Ischia Town

The location of this hotel was very ideal - far enough away from the busy area that it felt peaceful, but close to a bus stop to very easily get to town. There was a free shuttle to the beach that we greatly enjoyed

It’s very late in the season and many of the places we wish to visit were closed. The hotel itself is a bit dated so wifi is a bit spotty in places and the hotel has a lot of stairs to go up and down to get to your room

We received a complimentary upgrade, which was amazing considering it was our honeymoon! Amazing views, service, and amenities!

My friends and I are just wrapping up an absolutely lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The only reason we couldn’t give it five stars everywhere was because of the time of year that we booked

That said, the website is actually underwhelming

Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant and at the bar did not improve the overall impression. The staff often seemed annoyed and unwilling, which is a real shame for a hotel in such a beautiful setting

Two swimming pools- indoor and out. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. this is worth going back to again and again

We booked the hotel without ever hearing about it, it looked nice on the web and the reviews read well. All that said you never know what somewhere is really going to be like

WOW, what a great place, from the moment we were picked up from the port we knew it was going to be good. The hotel is in a beautiful position, at the end of the town and very quiet

The first view we had from the main restaurant is superb, blue see and the view across the Bay of Naples. Our room was clean, well furnished and with a view to die for

What really makes RI stand out are the staff, Raffael the concierge is outstanding, manages everything and anything. Everybody makes you feel special, it is all very genuine and so nice

The lobby manager was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious, and the room was cozy. All the services were excellent, and the housekeeper was very welcoming. I would stay here again if I had the chance

There are still the beautiful surroundings, but the hotel is strongly characterized by an incompetent and uncommitted management, who are indifferent to the unprofessional reception, where the guests' inquiries are annoying interruptions and inconvenience

It leaves the impression that because the guests are just pensioners on package tours, they just continue the mediocre routine and do not bother to take advantage of the many opportunities that are immediately available

Exquisite hotel with beautiful grounds and private beachfront. We had an amazing and relaxing time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful

The wine is my only criticism, we ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list which was very expensive, 55 euros, and I’ve had better for under £7 from M&S but generally bar prices are only a little more than the local bars etc Many bars and restaurants locally just a 5 min walk up the road and some really excellent fresh pasta restaurants down the hill, fish to die for also All in all can’t wait to...

As a solo traveller I was delighted to receive a room upgrade on arrival and was shown around the hotel by a lady on reception which was a very nice touch to help settle in

The hotel staff was absolutely amazing. They took great care of us while we were there and the hotel chef and staff served us a wonderful dinner every night.

The entire hotel was very clean and well maintained. It’s true that the majority of guests are seniors, with a few families here and there. This wasn’t an issue for me or my two teenage children

Staff were friendly & helpful, room was clean, the thermal pools were delightful. The property felt a bit dated, but the amenities for the price felt like it was well worth it

It was our first trip to Ischia and we LOVED it! The La Reginella Resort Spa was simply wonderful! The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly

Breakfast included many options to choose from as well as a large assortment of beverages. Our room had a lovely balcony with a table, chairs, umbrella, two lounge chairs and a small view of the ocean

Staff very helpful and friendly. Antonio pool attendant couldn't do enough for you! Food very Italian excellent especially fish courses. The rooms I would say were more 3* than 4* but kept very clean

The hotel is situated in a best strategic place between main street and sea. Outside pool with thermal water, and inside the hotel is termal spa. I recommand for people who want to rest and charging inner batteries

Giovanni not only makes the best cappuccino but he ensures you have everything you need at each meal! Maitre D Giorgio greeted us warmly and offered suggestions and options that suited each member of our group of 7 perfectly! The beach is a short walk across the street and the bus stops right outside the hotel property

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in the charming little beach resort of Maronti. Prices were very REASONABLE, staff always helpful, room was exceptionally clean & tidy. Breakfast spread was one of the best I have experienced

We have just spent a relaxing, satisfying 10 days splashing about in the sea (the hotel has its own bit of beach and free sun loungers) and being beautifully looked after by the hotel's excellent staff

The hotel is situated on a picturesque part of the island. The staff were lovely and helpful. The thermal spa was great and very relaxing. The private beach was comfortable and within easy reach of the hotel

The service was great, they helped me book a taxi to the port and arranged for a laundry service

the staff at the front desk are friendly and polite. Unfortunately, our shower was blocked and the tap was broken, so we could not turn the tap off, which flooded the entire bathroom

Maintenance was not able to fix it until the following afternoon, and there was no room to move to either. Housekeeping was really helpful. once the shower was fixed, all was fine

The pool and spas were nice and the beach pier quite rustic

The suite was gorgeous. The thermal pools were delightful as was the staff. The dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. We loved walking down to the ocean and swimming off the dock. The views were incredible!

What a beautiful island resort! We were there September 2025 and the weather and environment was fantastic! The room was spacious and offered a breathtaking ocean view! They also have a sundeck platform that extends into the ocean

This was our second visit to Ischia Island—last year we stayed in Ischia town centre. This hotel is absolutely beautiful; the grounds are well maintained, and it has a friendly, quintessentially Italian feel

This hotel is in the perfect location set above Ischia port with views over Procida, the mainland and Vesuvius. Yes you'll have a 10-15 minute walk into town but it's worth every step

On reception Joe and Anna could not do enough to share local knowledge and help me organise my week. Anna helped me plan a walk up Mt Epomeo and Joe guided me to a coastal morning run

Miramare e Castello is in a stunning location right on the water, with truly breathtaking views! The area is perfect — close to fantastic restaurants and great shopping

Great boutique hotel overlooking the castle. I have been staying here many times with family events hosted. The staff and warmth is always amazing

We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very sensely located and a 5 minute taxi ride away from the port. FYI taxi to the hotel is 20 euros

The hotel bar was such a fun spot, and Bar Manager Geraldo and pianist Pepe made us feel completely at home

*The view of the castle and location are very nice- right on the water and they have a nice beach, 2 jacuzzi on the upper deck, indoor pool as well

We used the warm thermal indoor pool for free, passing through the winter garden with plants. Excellent breakfast and service staff. Next to the bus stop to the center and the ferry

This magnificent hotel is on a cliffhanger where you get breathtaking views over the sea having access directly into the sea just just stepping off and on a ladder and a choice of two pools very individual to one another

Hotel is beautiful, its facing the sea , rooms are really clean, drinks are great and selection is good, the one thing that truly makes this hotel is the service, truly remarkable and of you have been to italy before its sometimes good or terribly bad! We can’t wait until next year! Beautiful rooms with spectacular sea views. The ambience in and around the hotel is truly special and the food is the best

Got bitten quite badly by mosquitoes ( noticed bites over everyone’s legs) but the hotel provided anti mozzie plug ins. The staff were all wonderful … from restaurant and bar staff to cleaners

Me and my husband stayed for 7 days, everything was perfect, so where to start? The staff probably - you feel like home, especially alle the people in the restaurant are willing to make your day

Breakfasts were exactly the same every day for days. Not very imaginative - unless you like lots of pastries. We were told that tea and coffee sticks are only provided on the first night! That is not 4 star service

This hotel is magnificent! The grounds are amazingly beautiful. The views of the sea and the mountains are spectacular. The hotel staff is so warm and welcoming. The pools and the private beach are wonderful

It has everything we could hope for - not only beautifully landscaped gardens with a stunning pool, new infinity pool and indoor spa pool, but the private beach is also to die for

Unlike the more stony sands on the southern beaches (Maronti in particular), the sand on this beach is just perfect, and having your own beach bar looking out to the Bay of Naples is priceless

Special mention also to Giuseppe at the beach, who was always there to ensure our sun loungers were positioned one in the sun and one out of the sun (for my husband!)

But the most important thing about the hotel is the staff, who all go that extra step to look after you and ensure you have everything possible at your fingertips. Nothing is too much trouble for them

The location is perfect, virtually on the beach and with excellent restaurants, lidos and bars close by. The view of the beach from our room was postcard-perfect

The pools, one large external pool and an internal heated pool were great for relaxation but, as we were notified in advance, they close at the end of October

Amazing! Location perfect, the beauty treatments are incredible new innovated machine, left feeling like a new person. The restaurant was squisito' an unique experience

We spent quite a bit of time in the thermal pools getting lost in the views of the rest of the island, the Golf of Napoli and Vesuvius

Food was delicious - we loved the pizza from Francos and the breakfast buffet is the best we've seen! We highly recommend San Montano if you are planning a trip to Ischia and can't wait to come back!

My girlfriend and I had an incredible 5 night stay at San Montano. The resort is conveniently located to both Forio Porto and Lacco Ameno. The property is very lush, clean and well maintained

The various complimentary snacks in a spoon were a nice touch. We also both agree that the massages at the spa were the best we’ve ever had. The rooms and the whole resort were top notch

We spent 10 nights at San Montano for my wife’s birthday. The property is perched on top of a hill with 360 degree views of Naples, Procida, Lacco Ameno and sunset

Without a doubt, the Hotel San Giovanni in Ischia is an oasis of welcome and comfort. Its strategic location makes it perfect for exploring the island, while its welcoming atmosphere makes you immediately feel at home

The thermal pool is very enjoyable, the rooms are spacious and have a small terrace; moreover, despite being very close to the main street, it enjoys tranquility

The cleaning staff in the morning is very noisy but impeccable in the hygiene of the rooms. At the reception they have always been very kind and ready to satisfy every request

Nicola, the night porter, always welcomes you with a warm smile and does everything to make your stay unforgettable. The masseuse is really talented and pampers you with regenerating and relaxing treatments

The combination of warm welcome, impeccable cleanliness, strategic location and exceptional staff makes it an unbeatable option for anyone visiting the island

all fantastic and super competent people. I highly recommend the hotel also for the location and for the food (rich buffet of appetizers and abundant dishes)

Besides, only 5 minutes walk-distance from the hotel there is a nice sandy beach, so you can enjoy brilliant and clean sea and sunbathing on the golden sand

Those who are eager to make beautiful pictures of Ischia are welcome to visit the 5th floor, from the roof of which beautiful pictures of this paradise island can be made. Besides, there is a swimming pool to enjoy

Especially, I would like to thank the ladies at the reception and their manager who made our stay a really unforgettable experience! Always ready to help, beautiful smile and exceptional hospitality - these are the best features on the part of the workers which one would enjoy while staying at Aragona Palace Hotel

Local specialties such as bakery are especially advisable to enjoy. We have not tried lunch menus at the restaurant unfortunately. Conclusion: Me and my family strongly recommend this hotel for every foreign guest

Finally, right in the corner there is a central street of Porto-Ischia along which there are lots of shops and the promenade along which is the best thing the guests of Ischia should think of in the evenings

Ischia in this regard has been for us another good prove of that and friendly workers of Aragona Palace hotel proved once again that Ischian people are one of the most friendly people we have ever met
