Sorriso Thermae Resort & Spa in Ischia Town

The location of this hotel was very ideal - far enough away from the busy area that it felt peaceful, but close to a bus stop to very easily get to town. There was a free shuttle to the beach that we greatly enjoyed. We received a complimentary upgrade, which was amazing considering it was our honeymoon! Amazing views, service, and amenities!

My friends and I are just wrapping up an absolutely lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The only reason we couldn’t give it five stars everywhere was because of the time of year that we booked. It’s very late in the season and many of the places we wish to visit were closed. The hotel itself is a bit dated so wifi is a bit spotty in places and the hotel has a lot of stairs to go up and down to get to your room. That said, the website is actually underwhelming. Once you get here and look out your window, the view is a breathtaking! We did not expect all the pools on site to be open 24 hours and heated from thermal Springs! What a bonus. Also treated ourselves to massages and facials at the on-site spa and if I can recommend anything, it’s that book it early, because you might want to add another treatment before the end of your stay. Lastly, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Vicky at the concierge desk. She helped us with recommendations for local restaurants and activity suggestions. She gave us detailed maps and information so that we could take the local transit if we wanted and answered any question we might’ve had. If she was not available, everyone else on the desk was great to deal with… We just tended to default to Vickie because her English was so proficient and our Italian is definitely not! Vicky is an outstanding ambassador for both this hotel and this beautiful island. My recommendation for future guests, is to consider booking just after Easter. The weather is comparable to what we experienced in early November, but it’s the start of the tourist season so everything is up and running, but the crowds are still not huge. I’m already looking forward to returning to this little bit of paradise.

We are a younger couple and absolutely loved it. Great selection of thermal baths and areas to relax. Beach is 5 min walk, lots of quality sea food restaurants walking distance.
Would definitely go again.

We were one of the rooms which was away from the main hotel. The room was clean a bit dated by ok. Very good value.

The staff were nice a friendly. The hotel is a nice place to relax. The bus stops outside the hotel and the islands bus service is amazing €14 for a weeks ticket and buses run every 15 minutes even at night.

No where near Forio yo need to get a bus or taxi it’s on a hill with only a small supermarket and chemist across the main road The first room we were given was so far away from pools etc at 150 also looking into someone house as the owner seems to have bought up areas we were moved to 311 which was far better Watch out if you are given rooms 800 plus These are across the main road and either up a dark lane or on the main road at the bend The reception staff were rude as per other reviews The food was good The pool bar staff were really nice and friendly the lunchtime food was good as well but you couldn’t get a hot lunch after 2.30 as the kitchen closed It was cheaper to drink cocktails than vodka and tonics The owner made his presence every day and night in the restaurant There was a bus to take you town to the beach but it was quite expensive Having been in ischia town before I really wish we had gone there again just due to the proximity of all the shops and bars It was a relaxing holiday

Just totally sublime . Relaxing , friendly , pristine . Just perfect in so many ways. I stay in hotels frequently .. work and pleasure and I’d have to say this was definitely a nice surprise. Better than 5 star Barbados . I was with my son and his young family . The staff are so genuinely lovely . Nothing fake or contrived . I would have to say this is the best break I’ve had in quite a few years and I take quite a few each year . Vincenza in reception and the staff at the bar by the pool are exceptional . I never , ever go back to the same place twice .. but I would come back here ..
