Hotel Royal Terme in Ischia Town

There are much better hotels in ischia. It took me 30 mins to check in and 45 to check out. The staff were rude and there were so many rules. No sitting outside at breakfast (even if not eating or drinking), 20 each to borrow a towel, swimming cap to be purchased before you are allowed in the pool etc. The beach isn’t great and quite crowded.

We stayed at this property for the New Year's Eve festivities. The entrance is attractive, with a lovely garden and a simple yet elegant lobby. The rooms are somewhat run-down, and the cleanliness is certainly not the best. But the food is the height of decadence. The cuisine is subpar, and the dishes often arrived cold. The highlight was a caprese salad with the typical mozzarella from supermarkets for homemade pizza. We really didn't expect that in this area. New Year's Eve began with an aperitif buffet that was, to say the least, embarrassing. The pizzas and snacks were clearly purchased at some discount store. The alcoholic beverage had no flavor, in my opinion because it was diluted with water. The New Year's Eve dinner, with a passable appetizer and a good risotto, would have been better. I awarded 2 points because the staff is friendly and professional; otherwise, it would have been 1. However, I should point out that on the last day, our room was not made up due to an oversight. I definitely expected better in Ischia, and honestly, I can't recommend this hotel. What a shame.

Royal Hotel 4 stars I wouldn't even give it 2 stars dirty ferrous pools poor food distance from the sea 650 meters you need the car walking is impossible too far rooms without a view the only thing I tell you AVOID IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY
