La Dolce Vita Residence in Maiori

Worst stay ever. First we were surprised by the 115 steps to get to our apartment. Then, once in, we found an invasion of ants at various corners. When we tried to get ahold of the reception (which is a travel agency at about 1-2 km in downtown) we realized the wifi and phone connection was also very slow. After 1 hour with no response, we had to do the 115 steps up again, take the car, and drive to the travel agency. There, upon our request to find us an alternate room or to at least review the total fees, considering the circumnstances, we were told that it was absolute normal having ants in the room in that area. They also told us that, because we booked the room from a booking app, some information might have been hidden. If we booked directly from their website, we were going to be aware of the problem. No mention to ants invasions or bad wifi connection was found on their website. Then, they told us I had to contact directly the booking website to ask for a reimbursement, but in this case we had to leave the structure right away (to go where though, with 1 child and 2 elders?). Anyway, I spent a few hours in chat with the booking app. I contacted 4 different people and tried to explain our problem, but because of the bad connection, I lost them 4 times, so I gave up. We realized we had no choice but to live with the ants in the room for the next 3 days, spraying the room with chemical stuff. We did not have a kitchen towel to wipe off our hands, but we had ants spray instead! At the end of the trip, when we left, we realized we had an ants invasion even inside our car. We had to make a stop and clean off everything. If I can add to the pile, the lights inside the room worked intermittently and so the air conditioning. We'll never be back there.

Poor layout, shower drains onto the bathroom floor and causes a safety issue. No dead bolt hole in room #7 causing unknown intruders to visit us at 1:30am, this was disturbing, check in is .8 km away on a busy highway, no parking nearby, very inconvenient. Beach is hundreds of steps down and not free.

The apartment is at the top of the hill and check in is a good 20 minute walk away, with luggage a complete nightmare. No fresh towels or bed linen at the start of the next day and I couldn't get through on any of the numbers so kept having to go to Regina Palace Hotel for daft queries like how do I get clean towels or is there an iron there isn't btw. This has too high an overall score and more ppl need to review as please don't stay here.
