Le Ghiande Mini-hotel

The view from there is amazing. A bit complicated to reach the place with a very narrow road. Host very helpful and friendly.

Positano in itself is mostly destroyed. So sorry for that. Fills up with Americans and Japanese tourist from 7 o'clock. Stay for some hours and leave again. Le Ghiande is 1000 stairs up from the center. Go by foot, car, taxi or local bus(monteperuso nucille) 145 stairs up from the road you find a lovely garden run by Salvatore and his staff. Great people all over. You get a great ordinary breakfast, fridge in your room and air conditioning. In the evening you can have a dinner here with the most fantastic view. In silence. Bellissimo.

Awesome B&B! Everyone one here was awesome! Great cappuccino and breakfast. Very affordable. Beautiful views. Only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 was that the bed was a little uncomfortable, but then again I have a Tempurpedic at home so I might be spoiled. That being said I never had a problem sleeping with all the walking and having the door open to the balcony for the refreshing and cooling breeze to come in, was fantastic!

My wife and I spent a week at Le Ghiande, what a wonderful stay! Salvadore, Dimitri and Carlo and staff are truly exceptional and caring. You feel like part of the family. We LOVED being up in the hills above Positano. The views are great and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. We spent time hiking up to Nocelle and down to Positano.

The views are amazing and the people of the little town of Montepertuso in the market and restaurants were kind a helpful.

Il Ritrovo Restaurant in center of Montepertuso was my favorite, celebrated my birthday there, magnifique!!

One note, the Sita bus that runs from Postiano to the bus stop right at Le Ghiande is very busy and crowded. But for about $4.00 roundtrip, it's a deal!

Fantastic B&B in a quiet and beautiful location . Very caring and welcoming hosts. Impeccable rooms, authentic breakfast. We enjoyed the company of the cats on the terrace as well .

We stayed here a few years ago and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the peace, splendour and breathtaking views of this beautiful region without being in the hustle and bustle lower down on the seaside.

You can get buses or your own choice of transport into town easily in 10-15 minutes, also while being in a position to stroll through the mountains easily.

Amazing place to stay! Great view, great breakfast, super relaxing!
The staff is very friendly and will take the time to chat with you if you are in the mood. We went there twice with my wife and will definitely go back.
This time we also tried their homemade dinners (option for 25€/person that you can decide on each day, menu is set in the morning). It so happens that Salvatore, the host, is also the chef. Your belly will be happy with a full Italian meal, including prosecco, homemade wine and homemade liquors. Great option if you don’t want to go to a restaurant at night, which can be expensive in the region.
