Best Western Cesena Hotel in Cesena

The room was not clean and we could hear the guests from the neighbour room talking at night. The paint was peeling off from the walls in the bathroom.

Passing through Cesena, we chose this property for its convenient location, easily accessible by car. The room was a bit run-down, with rust in the shower stall. The breakfast room staff, particularly a very rude lady with reddish hair, positioned themselves so as to observe us while we were eating breakfast. My wife was about to eat some small sandwiches with cheese when this person approached in an extremely rude manner, stating that nothing could be taken from the room (two small sandwiches with two slices of cheese). My wife stated that she would eat them there and had no intention of taking anything away, but the lady continued to hover near us and insolently observed our every move, so much so that we stopped eating what was on the table. To anyone who responds to this review, I want to point out that the two small sandwiches were left on the plate and not taken away, as stated in a response to another review.

We arrived late at night, they had already given us bad advice on the route so we went somewhere else entirely... but it didn't matter. We slept and left without breakfast. But it was supposed to be just a place to rest. We paid in cash even though we had booked through ***********. No one informed us even though the rules say the money would be taken away anyway, so it was useless to say leave the payment by card even though we had expressly written payment at the property. After 7 days from departure I realized that this money had not been pre-booked but actually taken away. I called the property and a lady didn't take charge, she told me to write an email because the owner would only be able to check the matter the next day and instead she responded to my complaint email by insulting since I had only said that tomorrow, since it's the 7th or 8th day, it depends on how you count, I would go and file a complaint with the police to get my money back, because I can't deal with Booking!! They didn't apologize or treat the customer as if they were "always" right. It would have been enough to tell us upon arrival that we wouldn't see the money for 7/8 days. Since we left early on the 5th in the morning 5/7 days after the departure date, they've now passed. People work and make sacrifices; if we hadn't noticed, we might have even lost them. Because it wasn't a pre-order since they were accounted for and removed, not just blocked. To prove this, I sent photos of the charge.

I had done as they say, a pre-authorization via Booking, but the money was actually taken from me, and today, the 7th day, I still haven't received it back. The staff wasn't exactly polite in taking charge of the problem. I can't have paid twice. The owner doesn't even bother to call you and responds to emails in a really rude manner. We just wish they would have taken charge of the problem.
