Hotel Sport & Residenza in Cesenatico

I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Sport & Residenza! I had the pleasure of spending a week here, and it was pure relaxation from start to finish.

One of the biggest advantages is the spacious pool – there were always plenty of sunbeds available, without the usual “early morning towel reservations.” You can reach the private beach either by golf cart or on foot, and once there, you’ll find complimentary cold water, as well as coffee and ice cream for purchase.

The food was absolutely delicious! We chose the half board option (breakfast and dinner). Breakfasts were typically Italian and sweet, but after we asked for some vegetables, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes were waiting for us every morning. You could also order freshly cooked scrambled eggs daily. Dinners always started with a buffet, followed by ordering an appetizer, main course, and dessert from the menu. On top of that – amazing coffee (the best I’ve ever had in a hotel!) and wine that was simply outstanding.

We were lucky enough to be there during a local holiday, and the hotel organized a special poolside dinner – a huge buffet full of seafood, a variety of meats, and incredible desserts.

Another highlight was a visit to a nearby farm – full of fun, a fantastic atmosphere, and a dinner I’ll never forget (the lasagna was the best I’ve ever eaten!). Our son especially loved making traditional piadina – a wonderful activity for the whole family. A big plus was the daily kids’ entertainment, which brought the little ones so much joy and gave parents a well-deserved break.

I have never met such a dedicated owner and family, so genuinely invested in their guests’ happiness. Thank you for a wonderful stay – we send our warmest regards!

We enjoyed a pleasant week at Hotel Sport & Residenza.
Our apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable and with good beds. - However, the Wi-Fi did not reach our unit (357), which was a challenge when traveling with teenagers.

Considering it is branded as a “Sport” hotel, we found the gym facilities somewhat disappointing. The fitness room is located at another hotel and is only about 15 m² in size and with only one multi-machine and one bench.

On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, with high-quality food and outstanding coffee. The staff were generally very helpful and service-minded, although some team members had limited English skills.

Nice family room, including an equipped kitchen, the only note is that there was no electric kettle in the room.
Breakfast is quite sufficient - croissants, cakes, fruits, sausages. Pancakes, omelets and scrambled eggs will be prepared right in front of you.
Dinner is very interesting - buffet snacks + a selection of menus - the first course is always 2 types of pasta and soup, the second course is meat or seafood. The only thing is a seafood dinner on Friday, and there are very few regular dishes for those who do not eat seafood.
There are also offers with included drinks and sunbeds/umbrella on the own private beach (500 meters from the hotel, with a shuttle service)

We had a very nice family vacation in this well managed hotel. We have enjoyed the food, the beach and generally we had a very good time. We will be back!

Although this is a "Italia Bike Hotel" it does not really cater for the sporting cyclist, There is a bike shop close at hand but their rental bikes do not offer a good choice.
The staff were excellent and very helpful including giving me a lift to the railway station since it was raining.

We had a great experience at Ricci. We opted for a 1 bedroom apartment with no meal. Great beach service, the (large) pool is a big plus; Ricci is close to all the local amenities and has lots of well maintained bicycles for getting around. We had the swimming pool buffet and were happy with that. The service might be lacking here and there (bar service, cleaning).

It was a wonderful stay at the hotel. We staied for 5 nights. The rooms are very clean and big, wonderfully equipped. The food was a lot and very well tasty. The staff answered on each questons of us, and were very helpful. If i come back to Cesenatico i would deffinitely come back here. The pool and garden is also very clean. There are many programs and the animators help the kuds to entertain themselves.

Staff are so friendly and the chef even made a cake for us to celebrate a birthday!
The private beach was nice to relax in and the shuttle bus there was a nice touch.
Location was good and a short walk to the shops, beach and play park
We stayed in May so was quieter our kids enjoyed having the pool to themselves
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay as the staff will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time here!

Great friendly personelle with traditional Italian hospitality and readiness to help, a variety of delicious food for every taste, perfect location near the sea and in the heart of magnificent Cesenatico, a calm private beach with a bar, as well as a possibility of swimming in a pool on the territory of the hotel, playing table tennis or loaning a bicycle to explore the coast - that is what a fabulous vacation in Italy looks like!
