We stayed w kids only for few days, the whole place was very reliable and clean. At the evenings we went to explore Grado, was a beautiful place. Unfortunately weather wasn't nice, at least on last day we visited Venice. One thing we didn't like, the beach. You have to watching tides, because at low tide, the beach is useless. Great place to go and relax. With plenty to do even if you don't have kids. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The highlight of the resort for us was the dog trainer Costantin, who helped us teach our dog agility, obedience, trekking and nose work. Can't recommend his services highly enough!!!

Beautyfully refurbished 120 year old villas at the beach

Rooms very pleasant and well serviced but in the reception and dining area bombarded with loud and ghastly music, not at all appropriate for an otherwise elegant hotel.

Good We got an upgrade to a bigger apartment and we really appreciated it. The apartment is well equipped for a vacation stay with dishes, pans etc. The swimming pool with water slides for children is really nice. Only the bathroom needed some fixing, we didn't ask because we stayed only two days.

I liked this place, it is pet friendly, so I could stay there with my dog. The rooms are comfy, there’s some variety of food for breakfast, I’m not sure when it happens or if it is something regular but right in front of the hotel sometimes there are some “mercantini” where you can buy interesting stuff, pretty cozy i’d say. Very nice big rooms, the balcony wrapped around the whole room and I loved people watching from it. The pool and the terrace bar were lovely with 360 degree views overlooking the sea and Grado. Villa D’Este is a ‘must visit’ hotel in the Italian lake’s region. The public zones of the hotel are very beautiful as well as the gardens. However, the restaurants and the rooms (junior suite) are slightly disappointing.

Fantastic location, rooms and service by Nicola. Lots of great recommendations and help with reservations of beach chairs and restaurants. The apartment has everything needed and is very close to the beach, restaurants, gelaterias, etc.

Great family set-up The apartment was well maintained and stocked with equipment for cooking. The space was good for a family to spread out. The location is close to everything. The hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel. The room was very rundown, the bed was sunken in the middle. And they call it a “deluxe” room. Even though there are air conditioning units in the reception area and the restaurant, they don’t turn it on, but open the window at 35 degrees. There’s no air conditioning on the upper floors, the building is boiling hot. Location was good.

Even though the hotel is on the road, it is quiet at night. Breakfast and service there are good and quite rich. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work, I missed the clothes drying rack and the fridge.
