Reviews
Can't comment on food as didn't eat while we stayed. And evening entertainment for children started at 9pm, perhaps this is the Italian way? It was good the one evening we did watch.
Superior bungalow:
Poor cleaning. Filthy dishes etc. Overall the condition of the bungalow was okay.
List:
+ pretty modern
- Extremely noisy neighbours (we could basically feel Them walking)
- bungalow area was Grey and boring other than the trees
- Hu staff did nothing about complaints
Pool list:
+ material used for the pool is some kind of latex/plastic. Was really good
- people smoking every where. Disgusting. Again lack of rules enforced by the hu staff.
Other:
Restaurant was pretty decent. Especially their pizza. Their take-away menu is way too small and the fried pollo was some of the worst food i have ever had.
We recommends you have a car, otherwise it will be difficult to get around, as the shuttlebuss is limited.
Most people don’t speak English, so have translater opportunities.
It was also nice to see some improvements since our last visit: the on-site supermarket is now much better stocked and more serious, and the pool area feels more organized and pleasant.
That said, there were a few disappointing aspects:
Cleanliness and maintenance could be much better. During our stay, we encountered a fridge with a bad odor, a collapsed wooden beam on our porch (which nearly caused injury), and an overwhelming number of mosquitoes and bugs. We understand this is a forested area, but the lack of pest control makes it almost impossible to enjoy the pool or porch without being bitten dozens of times. This seriously impacts the experience and needs to be addressed.
Safety and atmosphere were another concern. It appears that the resort rents out some bungalows to outside companies, who use them to house groups of workers. These guests did not blend well into the family-oriented environment. Some were seen drinking heavily around the pool and staring at girls and young women, which made us feel uncomfortable and reduced the overall sense of safety.
Lack of security in the new area: Unlike the main part of the resort, the newer area is completely unfenced, and there seemed to be no monitoring of who was coming in and out. This is concerning, especially for families with kids.
In summary – this is still a great place for families, with a fun vibe and a fantastic animation team. But if the management wants to keep families coming back, they should invest more in cleanliness, maintenance, security, and guest screening.
The pool is also great and the kids loved it.
The service is great. After leaving we realised that we forgot some of our stuff in the bungalow. We contacted the camping and we got everything back 10 days later while travelling in the opposite direction. For these reasons we stayed another two days in another bungalow.
We really enjoyed the bungalow situated in the forest.
If you like animation you will enjoy the one here, they are well organised and every day they do plenty of different activities.
Most of the staff we meant were pleasant. I do have to personally thank Federic who has been outstanding throughout our stay.
Will definitely return to Rome and to this camp.
