the wifi didn't work, it was a bit complicated to get into the apartment, the bathrooms were not very clean/maintained (showers mainly) and the kitchen was not fully equiped and it was not the cleanest. but good value/price.

Staff was helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Loved having the kitchen access.

This is a very old hotel in Genoa, close to the GNV. I arrived after 7 pm, no staff available at the reception. However, hotel provided clear instructions on what to do to get in. Initially, it was challenging, but once I figure things out, I actually felt good about the place. There was no private parking, so I was really concerned about parking my new car on the street.

An amazing building, with spacious rooms and hostel style set up gives this place great advantages in the budget friendly sector.

It just needs a good and consistent clean to remove dust, and hairs and things that contrast with the well decorated spaces.

Communication leaves a bit to be desired too so here are some tips to get checked in: make contact early - my return SMS didnt work so approach with WhatsApp too. Follow directions to tbe address but dont expect anyone to be waiting at the gate. Pass through the open gate and enter the building. Go down the stairs, until you see Leone's door plaque.

I’m forced to give 1 star for the service because I almost turned gray trying to get into the hotel and I absolutely don’t understand the administrator’s motivation. The house is very specifically located among the hill, the hotel is located on the fifth floor of the house, the entrance to the house is on the first floor and on the sixth floor on the back side (up the stairs), the navigator will certainly lead you to the first floor (which is logical), there you will even see button with the name of the hotel, but by clicking on it you will not receive a response. Thanks to a joyful coincidence, two ladies came into the house, we slipped inside, went up to the 5th floor, and there was a combination lock. To find out the code, you need to check in; to check in, you need to know the code. Vicious circle. The Russian telecom operator did not work for me in Italy, I was not able to call, thank God my husband had 4% charge left and he called the number indicated on the door, it’s just a pity that no one answered. And then we were lucky again and a married couple opened the door, thanks to which we finally got inside the hotel, where a form with my name and the door keys were already waiting on the table. After another 10 minutes the administrator called back and sent instructions on how to get to the hotel, thank you, very timely. I believe that in self-service hotels of this kind it is necessary to send instructions in advance upon the fact of booking, and not upon arrival, since travelers on the road may simply not have a charge on their phone/Internet/mobile communications.
As for the hotel itself, or more correctly the hostel - an amazing house with a front atrium, which, after completing all the initial quests, causes admiration, a clean, comfortable room, very early check-out (in my opinion, before 10 am) and phenomenal audibility, we spoke in a whisper in the room. I would stay here again, because I have already solved all the mysteries of the check-in, but for an elderly person who does not speak a foreign language well, or who does not have a means of communication, this is very discourteous.
